Glad I went with the 3 pound over the 2 pound
Figured I'd post a quick review for only one the fence between the two and three pound. I went with the three pound and I'm glad I did. It's still light enough that I can just choke up a bit if I need a more delicate touch, but it's got a nice long handle and can really put a lot of power into a blow if needed. It also appears that the 3 pounder has a slightly longer handle than either the 2 or 4 pound version. Been able to split some hardwood with this, so I'm pretty impressed. The hammer is really nice, seems sturdy and well made. I've used plenty of other tools from the company and haven't had issues.Edit: after some pretty heavy use starting a splitting wedge I had the metal deform a bit and the handle stated to separate. I dropped the rating by 1 star for this. I was able to pound it back in without any issues, but it has come loose again. It looks like it's just held in with pressure like a standard axe head even though it's not wood, if it comes out again I may try some superglue or epoxy to see if that'll keep it secure.
