do I own a dog sled team? Because the amout this rug sheds suggests that I do.Have you ever owned a husky? Or perhaps visited a home where a large white fluffy dog lives? One dog can shed enough to fill every nook and cranny of your house. Having this rug is like owning an entire dog sled TEAM! This rug is taking over my life! It sheds SO much, that my entire family has white fuzz on our clothes, in our hair, on the furniture, filled up in my lint trap of the dryer, in the air, in our food, in every drawer, fuzzy dust bunnies in every corner and under every piece of furniture. It's consuming my house, I'm wasting entire days pickin fuzz off everything, sweeping, vacuuming...it is taking over my life!The first day we got the rug, we unrolled the rug and it was my pride and joy of the house! How beautiful is this rug! Great color! Neutral, creamy off white...blackish, brownish diamond stripes....soft but not plush. Just perfect! It is a bit smaller than 8x10...more like 7x10. We bought a skid mat to put under the rug. It is thin, floppy, not stiff. The smell was a bit chemically but faded over time. So we then vacuumed.....and vacuumed, and vacuumed. No matter how many times we vacuum, it would always fill our vacuum canister to the point of overflowing within 2 minutes. On certain days, I have spent over an hour straight just vacuuming, then emptying the canister, then vacuuming, then emptying...repeat, just to see if it was possible to get to a point where it stops shedding. Well, IT DOESNT! I'm pretty sure this rug will shed until there is nothing left. I am SO sad because this rug if almost perfect in everyway...except for the shedding.Also I paid $400 for this sucker.

This rug is VERY FUMEY and is just shag, not some magical super soft poofy sheep's naturally-curly wool material. Not sure how it is shedding spun silk like I gathered from the reviews but I can see how the bits of shag might fall out because the backing is just thin cotton. I like this about the rug though because if it sheds horribly after the return period I can flip it over and use it as a rag rug. I like it, but I thought it would be softer. It isn't a looped pile if you are wondering about your pets (I have none at present). But it is hooked into the backing and is pretty thin so your pets may get claws caught in the looped backing. It is very very fumey though and I may have to return it if it doesn't air out. We're in a very cold and rainy spell so airing out outdoors is out of the question.

I searched and searched for the perfect rug for our family area space. I finally chose this one because I thought it would be a soft bright addition to our area.When I unrolled the rug upon receiving, I noticed some weird wrinkles, but figured it would smooth out with time. I’ve had it for a several weeks now, and I’ve realized the wrinkles were actually weird bare places where the base shows through(see pics).My biggest complaint is the shedding. I need to vacuum everyday, and I have to empty my vacuum at least twice per time. Even with sweeping there is a tremendous amount of fuzzy stuff that is all over my hardwood floor.While I like the look overall, I’m so disappointed that it sheds and has bare spots.

This rug was the first area rug I've purchased as an adult and it was such a big deal for me! After unrolling, the rug was really beautiful and my living room looked like the modern-bohemian Instagram home of my dreams. When reading the reviews I thought "the shedding can't be THAT bad, these people have to be exaggerating." I was so wrong. The area where I had the rug in my living room is a moderately trafficked, but not enough to suffice losing entire chunks of wool from the rug leaving empty spaces. I also feel like it's impossible to keep clean? I rolled it up to be professionally cleaned but I'm so worried more wool is going to come out during the process and for such a pricey rug, I'm really disappointed.

I had seen all of the reviews about the shedding prior to my purchase so I knew I was taking a risk when I decided to buy it. Beauty is pain, I’d compare this rug to a night out in pointed toe stilettos. It looks good, but it is a pain having to clean out my vacuum every single time. I really wanted to love it, and I sort of do but it’s been almost three months and the shedding hasn’t stopped. Another reviewer compared the shag to yarn, that’s a good description. It’s not horrible but for the price I expected a little better.

I should have read the reviews before I bought this rug.... It's a good looking right? Yeah that's what I thought too. Then... I opened it up, laid it out and little did I know that I would be getting a lesson in what it's like to have a dog along with a rug. This rug is horrible it sheds and sheds and sheds. I have had it since March and vaccummed it at least once a week since I ordered it and every time I vacuum, it's full of hair from the rug. I have to sweep on a daily basis because it's so bad. If I could return this thing I would because it's a pain in the butt to keep up with. Oh I also have a rug pad underneath it because google said that would help the shedding - google lies! If you have a dog this is the perfect rug for you. As for myself, my vacuum and my broom we're in a hate relationship with it. Good luck future "dog" owner.

Great rug, great price!! You will not be disappointed if you buy this rug. It is thick and holds its shape well. I haven’t noticed any shedding yet and am happy about that. It does have a very noticeable natural smell but it’s not awful and I believe the longer that you have it the smell will disappear. It was perfect for my daughters bedroom and she loves it. The stripes are a dark charcoal color and the rug is cream color so it is not a white/black coloring.

Looks as pictured. My only complaint is that some of the shag material seemed longer than the rest and was laying over covering a small bald spot on the rug-- kind of like a rug comb-over, I guess. Didn't bother returning since this is placed in a dark hallway in my home, and it still looks nice if you aren't inspecting it too closely.

I wanted this rug for years. It finally dropped in price and I snagged it. It’s SO beautiful and I’m so glad I bought it. Yes it sheds, but it’s called a vacuum!

The product description for this rug is misleading. It suggests it is wool but instead it’s nylon. It sheds like crazy. If you walk barefoot on it you are fine. But if you walk on it with a dark pair of socks, br prepared to vacuum yourself along with the carpet. The false advertising cost me $67 to ship it back, unfortunately.

I love this carpet. It’s off-white and dark gray, but it’s not at all yellow/brownish like some of the off-white ones can be. I haven’t had any problems with it shedding yet, although I can see that it will shed at least a little bit. Would recommend.

I love the way this rug looks but it does shed way too much. Always finding pieces of rug in my room.

Ok. So regardless of the shedding, I am giving this beauty a five 🌟. I love walking into my home and seeing it. I will add a photo of the shedding to prove that some of the reviews are true. Regardless though, it is a beautiful addition to my home❤
