It definitely detangles, and seems like it would be less likely to break compared to paddle brushes. And since most wet brushes aren't great for thick, textured hair either, I thought I'd try this style of brush.I like the bristles, they're not too stiff but not too soft either. They aren't glued in like some paddle brushes, so it's less likely to snap out of the base. And the final positive is that it brushes from the scalp to the root without pulling the hair or snagging. Especially impressive on unrelaxed roots.However, the way this brush is designed is very uncomfortable to hold. With resistant hair, I need something to grip, and there's really no good way to grip this brush, other than palming it like a handle-less brush. And it also doesn't smooth the hair like a paddle brush would; it adds volume. The last thing I need is more volume on already voluminous hair. Overall, it's a decent detangler, but it's not what I was looking for.

It is exactly as in the photo of the product, which is to appreciate.I have to admit that I didn't like it the first time I used it, probably because I read so amazing reviews that I expected the very best. I have long thin hair that gets tangled mostly at the end of the hair. The first time I used it with dry hair it wasn't as fast nor as pleasant as expected to detangle it, due to the pre-picture I had in my head because of other reviews I read.However, now that I have been using it for a week or so I can say that it works nicely with my hair wet and, compared to other brushes I previously used, this one detangles my dry hair in less movements and doesn't leave me split ends (so far).

I have super thick curly hair that gets super knotted when it gets long. I needed a brush whose bristles wouldn't pull out in my tangles and that would get through my tangles without a lot of pain. These bristles are great and the brush does the trick quite nicely. I took a couple stars off because the handle is SUPER slippery. I use this brush in the shower and have to get a caveman deathgrip on it in order to not have it fly out of my hand when I try to pull it through my knots. They should really put some rubber grips on the handle, it would be so much nicer.

I was a little skeptical on buying this kind, there was another a little more money that I was looking at as well, but honestly this brush really works just fine, my 5 year old cries everytime I brush her hair , she is so sensitive , but I've used this brush for the last 4 days now and no more tears !! I even use it as well as my other two kids and they like it too!!

So I chose this brush because of many reasons, that I could use it in the shower, it doesn't pull your hair out, gentle for kids and not badly priced. I couldn't wait to use it! I tried it on my 4 year old daughter who has really thin blonde hair. Easy to brush through her hair and she didn't really complain or fight me but it did pull some hair out. I brushed her hair dry. My 2 year old son who has super thick super curly hair wouldn't let me try it on him. So I tried it in the shower on myself. The brush itself is hard to hold when its wet as I expected it would be so no surprise there, the real issues were as you can see it ripped out a lot of hair. This picture is from using it 1 time on myself. My hair isn't super thick but its not thin either. The brush would not go through the knots it would go around them and I ended up having to get my old brush to brush out all the knots. I wouldn't waste my time or money on this brush. Don't bother!

It actually works very well on my and my daughter's curly, tangle-prone hair. It's really the best brush I've ever had in that regard. My only complaint is that the ergonomic shape is clearly intended for a petite female hand, and as an only average size male it doesn't handle very well. With different sized handles, this would easily be five stars for me.

It doesn't glide completely smooth through our daughter's hair, but it does work better than other brushes we used. Our daughter is biracial and has curly hair that can sometimes get tangled. If you spray a conditioner or detangler on her hair before brushing, it works very well. Our daughter is 2 and hates to get her hair brushed no matter what.

I have long think course hair. I had a WET brush before this & noticed it was pulling out quite a bit of hair & not working through my tangles. I figured I would give this brush a try. I have used it for over a week now & don't think it's much different than any other brush.
