As for actual play, still a solid yo-yo/string. Obviously, it is not "yo-yo ready" right out of the package since, depending on what you want to do trickwise, you have to wind/tighten or loosen the string around the axis first, but hands down: still the best yo-yo! And I used to carry one on me everyday back in High School/late 90s when yo-yos had a resurgence in popularity, so believe me!

STILL #1!
It's been at least 20-25 years since I've had a Duncan Imperial to play with, and it's still the best! And, I got exactly what I ordered, despite the other reviews on here. My box had 1 green, 1 red, 1 blue, 1 pink, and 2 orange since it stated there would be at least 1 duplicate color. As for actual play, still a solid yo-yo/string. Obviously, it is not "yo-yo ready" right out of the package since, depending on what you want to do trickwise, you have to wind/tighten or loosen the string around the axis first, but hands down: still the best yo-yo! And I used to carry one on me everyday back in High School/late 90s when yo-yos had a resurgence in popularity, so believe me!

It's a Duncan
Really...need I say more?? However I will always be forthright....I think they felt heavier back in the day. When you snapped it up, it smacked the palm with weight. Seems lighter to me. All the grands got one as did their father, my son, and my other two sons. My guy and I purchased a couple prior to fall and the kids would always gravitate to them. Now they have their own.

What could be better than 6 yo-yos?
Love Duncan yo-yos. My only complaint is 2 were butterfly yo-yos and the rest were regular. It was not clear from the description that they would be different models and defeated the purpose of my purchase which was to give all the kids the same gift, just different colors.

Yo-yo
I bought these yo-yos for Christmas for all the grandkids. They loved them. Most of the grandkids have never had a yo-yo so they didn’t know how to use it, but after they got the hang of it, they were all having fun. It reminded me of when we were kids and used to have this brand it’s a good yo-yo.

Just like when I was in Elementary in 1970. I bought these for my grandchildren. They love it!!! Love the selection of colors.

This yo-yo feels a tiny bit smaller and thinner than the original wooden yo-yo's I used in the 80's and 90's. However, after a half hour of use, I think I like this one better than the wooden ones. It has a good weight to it, and is smooth. It has a metal dowel, which I hope is smooth enough that the strings don't break too fast. It sleep well, and returns as expected when prompted. Overall, happy to have one (actually 6) to use again. By the way, I received 2 blue, and one each of red, green, violet, and orange, just like the picture. Update: after about 5 or 6 hours of use, it looks like the string is about to break. So, it appears that the strings are going to wear out quite a bit faster than they did on my old wooden yo-yo's. I ordered a large pack of new strings just in case.
