I've always been a fan of guilty and if you like his basic nonsense style than this will be right up your alley. It's all Detroit repping though so at times it's hard to relate though.

If you don't have this album you're missing out it is amazing. So get it buy it love it. Can't wait to hear more form Guilty.

It was an album i knew since the very first liscening that it was something that i would love more and more as i liscend to it.

This is the best Hip Hop album I've heard since Moment of Truth by Gang Starr. Apollo Brown confirms himself to be one of, if not the, leading producers of our time with his irresistible blend of heavy drums, lush samples and soul-drenched hooks, while Guilty's rhymes offer sagacity and maturity along with the customary braggadocio expected of an emcee. Hardly a weak track in earshot on this magnum opus of a composition.

Vor einem Jahr kannte ich den Namen Apollo Brown noch nicht. Und nun kommt mit "Dice Game" schon das zweite Über-Album innerhalb eines Jahres. Sein erster Streich, "Trophies" mit OC war ja schon eine Granate, für mich das vielleicht beste Rap-Album seit langem. Ich hätte es kaum für möglich gehalten, dass dieses Album noch steigerungsfähig ist. Vor allem was die Beats angeht. Doch das unfassbare passiert hier auf "Dice Game". Die Produktion ist noch eine spur dicker und wird wieder bestimmt durch viele Soul-Samples und einen Golden-Era-Sound wie er Mitte der Neunziger kaum besser hätte seine können. Vor allem finde ich, dass hier die Raps noch besser mit den Beats harmonieren. Guilty Simpson zeigt hier meiner Meinung seine bisher stärkste Leistung, mochte den Kerl schon immer. Aber hier läuft er zur Hochform auf. Ich finde alle Tracks sind absolut on Point gerappt. Ganz ehrlich, das Album ist für mich jetzt schon eine absoluter Klassiker und läuft bei mir auf Dauerrotation. Das einzige was das ganze noch besser machen würde, wären ein paar Scratches und Cuts, die gibt es nämlich gar nicht was aber heutzutage wohl normal ist, leider. Dabei haben die DJ's das ganze ja mal gefunden. Aber sei es drum. Wie gesagt, ein Rap-Album geht meiner Meinung kaum fetter.Fazit:Beats: DickRaps: DickNote: 1
