Rather disappointed that this neat idea doesn't work well. It works, but for some inexplicable reason, they failed to TEST the pencil lead to see how well it marks. The HB lead is TOO HARD to make a clearly visible mark in one stroke. If I use a straight edge and make two or three strokes, then the line shows OK, not great, just OK. Forget trying to actually write with this. Even on smooth typing paper the HB lead leaves a pale shadow instead of the dark lines carpenters must see.I got fast shipping. The item was sufficiently well packaged. The mechanism work just fine. Even the clip is functional. Perhaps if they start making these with a better lead, they could be good. As it is, it's a one-star product. I added a star because the idea is sound and everything else is OK. They just need to improve the lead.

FRAGILE LEADMaybe at a drafting table but not on the job. You've got to watch the lead since it breaks off easily.
