I have purchased similar products from local stores. I have found that they were often too dim; sometimes they didn’t last very long and very rarely was there ever options for colors or designs. THIS wristband is bright yellow with a cool design on it so it’s quite visible even in the daytime. At night or in the dark it glows very brightly. I tried it inside my house and in a pitch-black room it illuminates the whole room. This light is much brighter than I expected and has 3 intervals of “blink” to choose from. It blinks fast (twice or three times a second) if the button is pressed once, half that speed (once a second) if pressed a second time and the third press of the button allows it to stay on.PROS-• Highly visible• Several settings for lighting/ blinking• Design helps you be seen even before its dark• Multiple color options, choose your favorite to go with your favorite workout outfit or costume• TONS of USES – very versatile product• Large band to fit most adult wrists• Adjustable to a degree (not a ton)CONS –• Not super adjustable (could have more options for more wearers)• Does not take typical batteries (looks like a hearing aid type battery)• Battery is not easily replaceableI received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest, un biased review. I personally like walking and hope to continue to always walk God Willing. I do feel it is super dangerous at night or early in the morning to be walking because I feel like cars won't be able to see you. I feel like the arm bands are a must for outdoor activities that are done at night. In fact, many lives can be saved by wearing these because it allows a driver to see someone who is out and about just trying to take a stroll. It would save a lot of accidents from happening. I like the design on this armband as well as the colors. In fact that's what stood out to me when wanting to order one. The size happens to fit well however it is not very adjustable so maybe it wouldn't fit well for others?I received this at a discount in exchange for a review of the product. I have tried several HOUZON armbands & really like this style! I purchased them in several colors (I even got 2 plaid ones in different colors & 3 leopard print ones also in different colors for extra fun) & was VERY pleased with every one of them in this style. I really like that these can also be worn on your wrist as a bracelet if you would prefer, though it does fit best on an arm for a young child (under 5-6) as when I tried them on my toddler they didn't stay on his wrist but would stay on his arm securely. I am thinking about adding a resin snap or two to a couple of the armbands to make them function as bracelets for the younger ones in my family though I may not be able to do so without puncturing the light so I have to look closely at them to see if I can do that or not. If not, they will just wear them as armbands until they stay snugly on their wrists when they get bigger.I bought these for going on walks with my family. I want to be SEEN by vehicles as we have NO streetlights in our rural subdivision. These fill that need & I am very pleased with my purchases of these armbands. I also like that not only can vehicles see us, but it makes it easier for my husband & I to keep tabs on who is walking & where they are. That sense of peace is PRICELESS!I wanted to give them a true test run, so I handed them to my kids to see if the bands stood up well to the kids handling them, playing with them, etc. & they functioned flawlessly! These will be on hand for any walks we go on where we may be out at dusk or after dark.Due to the way these can be opened up completely they are multi-functional & you can use them on backpacks, strollers, bikes, backpacks, etc. One of my kiddos has big plans for hers to be worn at the next youth group formal when the lights are dimmed for group dancing :). My other kids can't wait to wear them to the next "light night" at Awana!I think they give off a good amount of light & certainly draw attention when blinking. They have two blinking speeds, a steady light, & then off. All you do is push the button on the black box that tucks into the bracelet. Super easy to use, a great SAFETY product, & SO MUCH FUN!! I also LOVE That the batteries are REPLACEABLE!! That means these can be worn for a long time & won't have to be tossed when the batteries run out!!I would recommend this & would buy it again when I need more!I received a discount on this product for the purpose of my honest review.Don't worry, I have integrity & do NOT lie in my reviews whether I paid full price or received a discount!I USED TO think that people who received discounts on reviewed products were all dishonest just trying to get freebies or cheap products for writing fluff-filled reviews whether they actually liked the product or not, but I have since found out how things work and I mostly disagree with that now. I can't say that some people don't do that, but I can say that my experience has been a good one & the way I find products is I look for things I NEED & WANT, so I almost always have knowledge about them before ordering something. If it is the first time I've used a certain product I disclose that also in my review. That knowledge gives me some advantage in writing my reviews because I know what to look for in a product, how it may compare to others, etc. & then I can write a fair, honest, & hopefully helpful review!I know that Amazon reviews are helpful & so many people look at them to decide if they should purchase a product. I also know seeing so many reviews from certain products that seem like they are all from discounts or freebies can be deeply discouraging. Take heart & know that my experience has been that many of the reviewers genuinely want to give you a fair & honest review. Again, there are some who use a product once or twice & then write a glowing review, but I'm not talking about them. I'm talking about those who take the time to THOROUGHLY test a product before writing a review.
