Great Buy!
This is my second time and not only is it a great price it firms up cheese nicely. Will definitely buy again!

Good product
I can't give a review of the quality of the product as I haven't used it yet but I can say the package arrived intact and on time. I did put the powder into another container, no reason except I wanted to do it, and the powder was dry and not clumpy at all - which can sometimes be an achievement here in the humid South.

Love this stuff!
The media could not be loaded. This is a must have! A needed ingredient for sturdy plant based cheese! Love it! Video shows my vegan mozzarella cheese. It was made fresh so still a bit wet. But without the carrageenan it won’t solidify or become sturdy like that. Try it!

For vegan cheese makers
To harden vegan cheeses basically you can use agar agar or kappa carrageenan. I prefer this product because I prefer the resulting texture of the ‘cheese.’ Good price, good packaging, good product.

Bad taste, will not buy again
For context, I've been successfully making vegan cheeses for 7 years using kappa carrageenan from the Modernist Pantry label. Recently it came time to restock my carrageenan again and I noticed a new brand available on Amazon that was selling at a big discount. There were some negative reviews that complained about a "fishy taste" but there weren't many of them, so I decided to take a chance with the FitLane Nutrition brand. Big mistake! As soon as I opened the bag I could smell an unpleasant odor unlike the Modernist Pantry brand which has no smell at all. I decided to make a batch of vegan mozzarella anyway, hoping that the odor would dissipate in the melting process. No such luck. I wouldn't describe it as "fishy", but my cheese tastes just as bad as this carrageenan smells. I'm throwing out the cheese and the FitLane Nurtrition kappa carrageenan along with it.

Ok quality
Bought this for making a vegan mozzarella cheese. The cheese came out nice but I tasted the carrageenan. I probably should put less on it. I will try again next time.
