We used these whole Star of Anise for a Sunday school project with the kids. We made a Christmas potpourri and each child got to have four "stars" for the package. It was a fun project and these were a perfect addition.

on TikTok, I found a new recipe for Horchata. It used the star anise and it adds an enhanced flavor of licorice to the drink. Some people may not like this edition but I do. The amount I got which was 2 ounces seem like a pretty big bag as I only needed two of these. I will use these for future Horchata makings.

These star anise are good quality. If you have a recipe that calls for these and you don’t like licorice these aren’t for you. A good quality package of these will give a licorice taste/smell and these do. I’m not a fan of licorice but bought these for a medicinal home remedy and these are perfect for that.
