It's a good replacement battery and fits perfectly on my old 13" Macbook, but it died after 6 months. I didn't even use it for 5 out 6 months, but when I started up my Macbook, it wouldn't hold a charge anymore.Thankfully Puredick has a 12 month warranty on this battery and sent me a replacement free of charge. Hopefully this one lasts more than a month of actual usage.

Not gonna lie; I bought this based almost entirely on the brand name. It ended up being a decent replacement battery, too. As long as you follow the initial charging instructions (which you have to do carefully, since they are written in 'creative' English), the battery will retain a charge for several hours away from the power source. Now my old laptop works again and I have a funny cardboard box in my house that reads "Puredick" on it. It's a win-win.

...I'm a child. I could not stop myself from ordering this. I did really need a replacement battery so... After I managed to stop maniacally giggling, I did in fact install this in a MacBook (A1181, MacBook4,1, MB404LL/A (Black), Early 2008) without issue. The system (OS X 10.6) "sees" the battery correctly and I was able to calibrate it (via the "Watts" app for OS X). It is early going but I enjoy the long run time and the fact that this unit fit perfectly. I will update if this one "bulges" (a common issue for cheap batteries) or has any other issues. Only holds a charge for about a day. I have never been able to use my laptop without plugging it into a charger first. The battery seems to self-discharge as soon as you unplug the charger. Might as well just leave it plugged in all the time. Don't plan on being able to use your laptop on the go.On the plus side it's been almost a year and it hasn't exploded yet.

I bought a Puredick for my wife because she needed a new one that fit well and could last all night. It's in a nice package and was ready for use right away. She's very satisfied.

I desperately wanted to bring my macbook to life, and considering the age of the laptop I didn't want to go all crazy looking for anything high end. So far, you can expect this for any battery for the black macbook - they'll never match the finish of the original. Never.Once you can swallow that truth and accept that no one but you loves this macbook anymore, this battery will do just fine. It's okay. We'll get over this.

I fully discharged & fully charged this battery. Average run time was less than 90 minutes. This was under wifi or with wifi off & a movie playing. Battery did stay cool & seemed to function ok, but I suspect in addition to low power output it would also be limited in recharge cycles.

Works so far. Seems to i/f with my old MacBook for expected battery life. Will probably buy one again. Much to Apple's dismay, I take care of my computers, and keep them running despite the software .... fu to keep a well maintained computer . I am happy to find a company that supports me.
