Well if you get one book why not get the other. Bolth books are well put together. Packed with info on all the submarines of Germany. Great art work. Well done.

I found these books very helpful as basic reference information on WWII German submarines. They are well laid out, don't take up much room on my bookshelf, and have good (if not exhaustive) information. I found them entertaining as well as informative and am quite pleased with this purchase.

Great review of type ii and vii u-boat. Discussion on variants of defense weapons and model variants like mine layers and the milk cow special.So good I ordered volume two before i finished reading volume one. I never doubt quality with New Vanguard!

Bought as one of a set with Volume 2. A good guide to the subject. Not too much in the way of personal accounts and experiences but does make you realise how very brave these sailors were.

Das Buch bietet eine guten Überblick und Einblick in die maritime Militärgeschichte inkl. sehr guter Fotos.Leider ist das digitale Buch nur in englisch verfügbar, ähnlich Bücher in deutsch wären sehr wünschenswert.

Having built several class Seven U-Boats in Model scale 1in 96 the details was excellent. I would strongly reccomend it to any model Maker..
