Great curtain, good seller
Purchased these curtains for an old and very large leaky sliding glass door. The curtains arrived much earlier than the estimated date, and we're in perfect condition. They were extremely easy to install because of the large, heavy duty grommets built in. But because of these grommets, you can't take advantage of the full width of the curtain, and I ended up having to make a second order of panels to cover my large sliding glass door. When I saw the curtains in person, I realized they are much shinier than they appear in the photo, like a glossy type finish. I wasn't thrilled about shiny curtains, but decided to keep them anyway because when they are tied back in the center, they are still very beautiful, but when they are left fully extended to block out the light and the heat, the shiny can be a bit too much.Another quirky issue I have with the esthetics is that the side with the special energy efficient material is not an attractive material. So from the inside of the house the curtains appear beautiful, but from the outside, they appear very dull. The product has been working very well for its purpose. The room where they are hanging has been much cooler in this 110* summer heat, and when pulled completely closed, does keep all the light out.I would recommend this product, especially for the price, but choose your colors wisely because the shine (at least on the solid white ones) is a bit overwhelming in my opinion.

I am in heaven....!!!
I needed a pair of pretty beige curtains that block out the sun for one of the bedrooms in my home that I turned into walk in closet/vanity. This room happens to get really, really hot. It is upstairs and has vaulted ceilings, go figure. This is also the room where I blow dry and curl my hair, do my makeup, get dressed in, etc. I was seriously sweating, even with plantation shutters being closed and the air conditioning on. I decided to give these a try, honestly because I figured I had nothing to lose but some heat and frustration. When I opened them up(I ordered 2 panels), I was pleasantly surprised at how nice they looked. I have some sage green Thai silk curtains from Restoration Hardware that cost $250/panel and these looked VERY similar. These are a nice beige, have a slight texture, with a slight silk sheen. The back which faces the window is totally white, which I'm assuming helps to block out the sun. Very classy. Now, do they work?? YES. I put these up and there is no more of that serious, non-stop heat that seemed to be beating in the windows and onto me. UGH! I also added a tall Lasko fan in the room, and presto! I am in business!! The only thing I would note is that there are creases in the panels when you take them out of the package, but they came out with a large steamer I use for my clothing. FYI...one more thing to note, I do not sleep in this room, however, with my plantation shutters closed and these curtains up, it is so dark that I could sleep in this room and not wake up from the sun in the morning.

Ivory Color, Not Perfect but Close, and Will work for my purposes, Happy with my purchase
I bought these for a guest bedroom where there were white panels already over the sliding doors that I wanted to replace with 'blackout' curtains but still have the lovely white look of the curtains. This room receives the first light morning sun and is very bright and difficult to sleep in past sunrise. It is not easy to find white or ivory colored blackout curtains. Blackout is different than room darkening. White/ivory 'blackout' will be less effective than a darker colored blackout curtain. These do have the blackout material as the window facing liner, and it is a silver gray material. The ivory 'silk-like' material of the curtain panel over this allows the silver gray color to show through causing them to have a slight gray hue to them. Either a liner or thicker layer of the ivory material would solve this, but likely increase the price too. I bought four panels to cover my very wide slider and when closed, the curtains are stretched flat, making them less effective in blocking the light, so I did buy two more panels so they are a bit more bunched when closed and this really solved it (it looks prettier too).Overall I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend these if you're looking for light colored white/ivory blackout panels. I searched several local stores and none had white/ivory. Always tans to dark browns, burgundy, dark colors... I would buy these again.

Great value & they block out the sun - perfect!
These were a life saver for my kid's room & they blocked out enough sun in a room that gets direct light so my kid can nap.Be aware that the white curtains were shinier than I expected - they are not matte, so if shiny curtains aren't your thing you may want to avoid. We installed them two weeks ago and love them. Blackout curtains can be expensive, so I wasn't sure that something so inexpensive would work. Tip: Do buy 2 panels - they work best that way. When in doubt, get a larger size because I found that they block out more light if the two panels overlap a bit in the center.**Pros: The price cannot be beat; for what they cost, the curtains do their job. The room is very dark. Easy to install. **Cons: The windows were already covered by a pull-down shade, so I'm not 100% sure the coverage would be as great if there was no extra shade; some people may not like the shiny material; the "white" curtains had a slight gray undertone to it - it's faint, but noticeable. If you're hoping for a perfect match to white furniture or trim, these might not work for you.
