I’ve tried multiple gulab jamun mixes, but MTR’s Gulab Jamun Mix has easily become my go-to for making this classic Indian dessert at home. It’s perfect for festivals, guests, or just when you’re craving something sweet and traditional. What I Loved: Easy to Prepare: The instructions on the pack are clear and simple. Just add water, knead, make small balls, and fry. The sugar syrup recipe is also spot on. Soft & Juicy Texture: The gulab jamuns turned out incredibly soft and absorbed the syrup beautifully. No cracks or dryness! Authentic Taste: Tastes just like the ones you’d get at a good sweet shop—rich, flavorful, and mildly cardamom-scented. Great Quantity: One pack easily serves 4–5 people. It’s budget-friendly and perfect for small celebrations. Minor Tip: Make sure the oil is on medium heat—not too hot—or the jamuns might brown too quickly on the outside without cooking fully inside. Also, letting them soak in warm syrup (not boiling hot) gives the best results.
