This is what we like: - clean
This replaced an expensive Le Creuset that lasted only two years due to rust. Our kettle is used 3-4 times a day. Having checked out a number of tea kettles we chose this. This is what we like:- clean, contemporary design- craftsmanship including a machined stainless steel base (a pleasant surprise) which hugs any stove element for good heat convection- removable cap/whistle with a wide spout that pours easily, minimizing risk of hot water splash-backIt certainly beats the Le Creuset kettle. It's a really good value at this price.

Cheaply made.
Within a few uses, the knob of the kettle's cover has started melting away. It is NOT stainless steel. Not sure what it is, seems like some sort of light foam-plastic material, coated in a thin layer of stainless steel wrapping. Weird and cheap. Really disappointed to spend money on what seemed like a solid product, only to have it start falling apart so quickly.

Great Customer Service
The first kettle we received was damaged. About the same time we received the kettle we received an email from Chefs Limited asking if we were satisfied with our purchase. We responded, explaining the problem. They promptly replied to our email and within three days we received a replacement kettle. We throughly enjoy it and it does everything we want a whistling tea kettle to do: boil water for tea/coffee and whistle when it is done. We also appreciate the fact that the handle does not get hot, so we do not have to use a pot holder when pouring. Great addition to our stovetop and great customer service.

One of the best I've ever used.
One of the best tea pots I've ever used. It heats the water up very fast and makes a very clear sound when it's ready so I can hear it even in another room. It's aesthetically pleasing so I actually enjoying leaving it out for people to see. It also holds more water than I'll ever need, which is good cause my last one didn't hold enough.

I bought this tea pot based on seller ratings, not really sure what to expect. I received the pot quickly and in good condition. It is lighter than I expected (the lid is especially light weight), but overall it appeared to be acceptable quality. I made a pot of tea and discover a few thing. The handle gets hot, too hot to pour without a towel and the whistle didn't work. I remembered an email I got from Chefs Limited asking if everything was ok so I thought I would try it to get a new whistle. I sent the email on a Sunday and had a response by Monday; I was surprised. They asked for my mailing address and in a couple of days I received a small package that contained two whistles. Both worked. The pot it self is very good looking and does everything you would expect without any problems. I would have given the pot a slightly lower rating, but the service was so good and I am now very satisfied with my purchase. I have no problem recommending this tea pot.

Cute kettle, some drawbacks
This tea kettle is very cute, and as stated by other reviewers, it makes a surprisingly loud sound as soon as it is placed on the burner. Be careful - if the lid is not pushed down with enough force to seat it tightly, the whistle won't work. The handle does get hot, depending on how high the gas flame is. It is necessary to completely upend the kettle in order to get the water at the bottom out, which is awkward. It's thinner metal than my previous kettle and seems to take longer to heat up. My preference would also be that the company logo was not so prominent, but that probably doesn't bother most people. I bought it because I wanted a black kettle of this size, and I like it, though it isn't my "dream kettle".

I LOVE this teapot!
I drink tea thru the day like many folks drink coffee, and I wanted to get away from making it by the cup in the microwave. I have been looking for a larger capacity pot that I could heat the water on the stove , and plop in teabags or loose tea in a strainer, let it get good and strong, and reheat thru the day....at a reasonable price. Finally found this one and purchased it right away. It shipped quickly and was here 2 days later. It has all the attributes I was looking for and more. Solid and well made but not overly heavy. Holds over 2 quarts. Easy to clean. Fits flat on my glass-top stove, doesn't take long to heat water up at a medium setting, and I can warm it up whenever I want a cup. It's big enough I could have friends over for a "tea party". It's very attractive too....if a teapot could be considered sexy looking this one is for sure. Thank you Chefs Unlimited!

Functional but not long lasting
I got this kettle about two years ago and it's been a reasonable purchase, but I would have liked it to last longer. I have one cosmetic issue and two functions issues with this kettle. The cosmetic issue is that the knob is made of nylon or plastic with a metal foil to make it look like the rest of the lid. This foil started peeling off after a while. The less serious functional issue was that the handle did get hot when the burner was turned on too high. I view this as user error, though. When the burner was at the right level, the handle didn't get hot; turning the burner on higher didn't make the water boil any faster and did make me use a pot holder to hold the handle. The more serious functional issue, and the reason I need to replace the kettle now, is again related to the knob for the lid. The knob is held in place on the lid by a bolt, but the plastic or nylon that the bolt fixes into crumbled, leaving nothing holding the knob to the lid. At this point, if I want to take the lid off, I have to pry it out with a knife or something. This is too inconvenient to be reasonable.
