Great for a gift
Learning about the water cycle kit is a good STEM toy for kids and would be a great gift. Add your own seeds and soil, but once watered it works just as described. It has held up a few weeks now, and we are seeing some plant growth. This is a great way to get kids involved in caring about the environment and to study climate. Overall it's a good value for a toy that you can reuse, and I would recommend.

It’s only a water simulation station
a nice looking one, but that’s all it does. Once it’s put together all it does is show how water is recycled. That’s it in a nut shell. I gave 4 stars because it does exactly as advertised. With an exception, the description says no screw driver required. You will need a small screw driver to assemble. Station comes with a thermometer, anemometer, compass, weather vane and a rain gauge. All useless since the package says it’s for indoor use only. So, fill bottom with good soil, add a couple beans, pour some water from above (make it rain), and wait about 5 days. See pic, we have sprouts. Kids are semi interested.

Provides Some Fun Learning Grow a Plant in a Biome
Overall, this kit is neat. The included information is better than the kit itself and has lots of good information to help understand what is going on. Once you put it together and have soil inside and you put some seeds, then water, you seal it up and let it do its thing. You will see condensation soon as the water cycles through then drops down the sides to re-water the soil. Beyond that, the instruments on the weather station are neat, but don't really have anything to do with the plant. It is neat to have the temperature gauge. The rest seems kind of like fluff. We keep this in a window that gets nice light and even temperature.
