book's okay, had it for class don't really use it.

I read through the whole book and there is seriously NO MEAT TO IT! If you just want to know some surface level stuff about being an illustrator this is the book for you, but if you want to learn how to make effective illustrations save your money. The type of advice you'll find in this book includes: "Buy a sketchbook!", "Draw from life!", "Try thumbnails!" and "Be creative!". There is a lot of focus on "What you'll have to deal with as an illustrator" to the point where it feels like a really large job description.
