This is my second Zebco product. I previously bought a dock demon last year for a camping trip that performed well but I didn’t have any luck catching fish. It also broke in my car less than a month after the trip. I bought the Roam for this years trip and it performed flawlessly. Setting it up was a breeze. It casts farther than the dock demon and I caught over a dozen fish casually casting throughout a couple days. The line green is fun and helps stick out. Seems to be very sturdy and well built. Line never tangled. Very comfortable in the hand. The only knock is that for $50 I think a carrying case should be included but at the same time… $50 is that bad for a rod/reel combo. The included line got the job done. I will leave it in my car for the remainder of the fall and will update if anything crazy happens.

BEST Fishing set up you can buy for the money. Got this fir my 10yr old G'Daugher and she uses it almost Every Other Day .. well built and extra easy for her to use ..

For what it is, this is a pretty good rod. I would not recommend it as a primary rod, but as a backup or travel rod, it excels. You’re giving up some durability and sensitivity for the ultimate compact go anywhere rod. Would be great in a backpack situation, survival kit / bug out bag or under the seat of the truck.

Absolutely love this compact rod!! I've taken it fresh and salt water fishing. I throw it in my suitcase when I'm traveling. Super easy to store. It's very durable even though it's telescopic. Would definitely recommend!

The reel worked for 2 or 3 casts, then broke. Poor quality. Don’t waste your money.

Very good product, I would recommend to anyone looking to avoid tangled reels, this is very simple for kids and beginner adults.

Excellent rod and reel, caught several species and sizes of fish on this guy. Pike, Walleye,bass, and Zebco always seems to be a great product! Buy it, I bought two!
