I first used EarEase about 10 years ago. As a school teacher, I was hit with an ear ache while at school. I stopped by our school nurse's office and asked her if she had anything that might help. She pulled a well used EarEase from a drawer and showed me how to use it. I used it for the first time and it got me through the ear issues I had at that time. I was so impressed that I wrote a note to the company. For the first time in my life I had found something that helped my life-long suffering from ear aches. The company actually sent me some or these for free and I shared them with others until they are all gone. I have bought these for family and friends since then. Thank God for these. I have tried so many things to help with the excruciating press pain when defending on air flights. We stopped flying because my ears would close and not "pop" back open for days! My doctors PA told me about them, as she had been a pediatric nurse for many years, and this is what they would use on infants. She also said most grammar schools have them to temporarily treat children with ear infection pain till mom picks them up! You simply get a little amount of very hot water from the plane bathroom when they begin the decent, and just cup them over your ears while going down. They create a little inner pressure chamber for your ears, and reduce any discomfort. For children with earaches, they are magic! Let the little one hold it against the ear, and cuddle with a blanket for a while, and it really helps.

This definitely helps when you have an earache. It does cool down fairly quick but even a few minutes of relief keep you sane. It does not leak and is nice to have on hand. Cuts down on the number of wet wash cloths!

Product was not nearly as large as it was represented on the packaging. It did not relieve any pressure, temperature felt like warm (even when using very hot water), and did not meet my expectations. Would not recommend and will not purchase again.

Water has to be boiling to stay minimally warm any length of time. I used these as a school nurse. Basically they were warm for a couple of minutes but did a good job keeping a child distracted while waiting for a parent.Wasn’t worth it for my. A warm wash cloth kept warm longer.

It was the first time I have flown in 40 years that I haven't had extreme ear pain. They are fantastic. The biggest problem is to get aflight attendant to fill them with hot water. They are busy with lots of other people and this request seems out of the ordinary.They worked great, however it takes about an hour from the first sign of discomfort to landing. They do not stay hot that long. The manufacturer needs to use material with metal in it to make them retain heat longer. Also, I needed to use them for both ears, and my arms got tired, they need a holder so you can wear them without using your hands.I would never fly without them, but might have to fly first class to get the flight attendant to listen and take the time to fill them.

This little gadget is very impressive. I had a persistent earache for almost a full day. I tried 2 types of ear drops and got zero relief. Then when I saw the simple instructions for this product, I thought there was no way it could work. But after 2 short applications, my earache was completely gone in less than 10 minutes.
