Copydex 3 x Adhesive Blister 50 ml

In our church we always seem to need glue for kids crafts. We have used PVA and other glues, but Copydex is by far the neatest and best. It sticks paper and card almost immediately, and excess glue can be rubbed off with the finger straight away, as it quickly takes the consistency of small dry peelings. It can be used to stick sequins and other small glitter shapes to card etc. The glue dries fast and is flexible when dry, which means it lasts longer than other glues in craft making (eg Glue gun and wood glue etc).If you abuse the brush inside the lid it quickly widens into a kind of unwieldy, bristly mess. Just use it gently, replace the lid straight away and it will last quite a long time.The glue is quite expensive, (and smells like ammonia-on-herring) but far less is required than you would imagine. Just buy a jar and keep it around. You will reach for it more often than you think!

I knew what I was ordering, as I used it in the 70s for craft work. Very versatile adhesive. I have used it to patch, ripped robberised curtain lining, to stick the innersole back into my slipper, to fix feathers to ribbon and that is in the last couple of weeks. It dries quickly and remains flexible and waterproof. Excess glue can be rolled between fingers and discarded. This small bottle has a brush applicator in the cap, which makes it easy to apply.It stinks but the odeur disappears once dry.If resealed properly after use it will last for years.Very useful product!

I bought some iron on faux suede patches to patch a hole in each of the elbows of an irreplaceable jumper and they didn't survive the first wear without falling off. I remembered thus from my youth when we used it to do the hems on corduroy trousers and found to my delight that its still as good. I thin coat on both surfaces then let it dry, then stick together and place a weight on it whilst it cures. Voila, one wearable jumper again.

Okay, let's sort this review into pros/cons.Pros: It sticks polymer clay. It dries quickly.Cons: it has a horrible stench of fish and burnt rubber. It doesn't stick felt to anything, needed it to stick felt spots on a crocheted project. The brush is way too big.I will keep the glue for other projects (possibly more polymer clay), but really I am quite disappointed in this product. As for the fabric situation... Upon applying the glue, I pressed the felt to my wool. It soaked right through the wool, creating a horrible, smelly mess of white gloop, and didn't stick at all! Thanks to this product, the money I had spent on the crochet supplies has gone down the drain.No, I don't recommend this.

I bought this as I read it's easy to use for sticking badges on scout uniform. The glue has a super strong smell of ammonia and the brush was quite damaged (brush hairs sticking in all directions) making it tricky to apply to a small area. The badges stayed on after first wash although some of the edges seems to have loosened a bit (might not have applied enough glue around the edges). Won't pick scout uniform I'm the dryer as I've read this will make the glue melt.

I use it for all sorts of things. Far too many uses, but todays one it to make frazzled string end shape into a pount to thread through eye of giant needle.It good for fabrics, cardboard, non heavy weight bearing loads, comes off fairly easily and no worry if it gets on your hands, it rubs or washes off.I have been using it for decades.

After having to buy my son a bigger size in his beavers jumper, the thought of having to unpick all the badges and resew them on to the new jumper, filled me with dread! Copydex is a game changer! Instead of hours of sewing, it took me minutes and the badges stuck really well! The brush is a little big for the job, but as long as you’re careful, it does a great job! One happy mum!

A long running tried and tested product with many uses. Excellent for claimed purposes; I have used on carpet, felt and leather with complete success. Easy to use and good container with integral brush. The multitude of successful jobs done by reviewers is testimony enough to its worth and at the price can be a permanent item in the household.
