As far as I know it works well... it's worked for what I have needed it for.

This item probably works great if you are an electrician detecting a heat issue, however I purchased it thinking it was a digital baby thermometer, so it definitely does not work for me.

Works okay. Wish you could calibrate with more preciseness.

I Love this gadget! I have been planning on purchasing one but the price was always a bit high until I ran into this little gem and decided to take a chance!It arrived in a sturdy packing box along with a manual and a 9V battery (huge plus as some don't come with a battery). The item it self feels very sturdy and made well and has a great feel when I'm holding it. It doesn't slip and the plastic/outer shell has no smell.It took me a few minutes to read through the manual and figure out how to use it and I was on my way.This thing was super easy to use. All you do is point the laser hole at the thing you are trying to measure and then press down on the trigger and you see the temperature light up on the LCD screen. There is an option to switch between F/C which is pretty easy.Another neat option is the ability to set temperature alarms -- meaning the LCD will light in a different color for each temperature range that you set.I also double checked with my neighbor to compare temperature readings because he has a more expensive unit and this one was spot with the same reading as the more expensive unit. I'm glad I bought it.I use this mostly around the house and in my shop but used it on food and other random things at first because it was fun and easy. I definitely recommend this item at this price as its great value for a Digital Thermometer.Some of the features I really liked were:*Auto shut off in 60 seconds*laser guide*temperature alarms*back-light LCDso far no dislikes but I will update if any arise.
