Vibrant, Smooth, and So Fun to Use!
PanPastels are an absolute dream to work with! The colors are rich, highly pigmented, and blend like butter. I love how mess-free and smooth they are compared to traditional pastels—no chalky dust everywhere, and so easy to use! They layer beautifully and are perfect to use for everything from soft backgrounds to detailed portrait work. A little goes a long way, and the color payoff is amazing. I also love the different colors this set comes with, great value for the price! These have taken my artwork to the next level. Total must-have for any serious artist!

Beautiful and high quality
Omg I love these!!! Highly recommend! They are pigmented and smooth! Not a lot of dust either, hardly any at all. I love them and I am so happy to have purchased them. Plan to get more. They arrived in perfect condition. They are very organized. And the tools inside work great!

High Quality Pan Pastel
I’ve tried to use pastels in the past, but found them messy and the chalk breaks easily, so when I found pan pastels, I was excited to try them. The colors are rich and vibrant. They blend easily. You can apply them using special tools, regular brushes, or even your fingers. There’s much less mess than with chalk pastels. It’s actually my new favorite medium. PanPastel also has video tutorials to help you figure out how to create certain effects, which I appreciated.

Pan Pastels, Great Quality!
How do I Know? have been using the Single Black Pan Pastels with my portrait drawings and I tell you it is of great quality. The blending is remarkable and smooth. It lasts very long if untouched after drawing or painting is done. So functionality is excellent! Hence, the reason for me buying the other colors. Quality is top notch! Try it!

All the beauty of paint without the mess!! Buttery soft pastels that apply like paint.
I have really enjoyed this medium. They apply more like paint than traditional pastels and can give a very soft, almost water color effect. They are easy to erase and redo since the powders are so finely milled that they don't fill in the tooth quickly. This leaves you with lots of room for layering and adjusting. I also find Pan pastels to be much less messy and more convenient than paint. The only downside I've found so far is that the colors can be a bit hard to mix compared to traditional paints. I haven't tried scraping out the powder and pre-mixing a shade before applying, but that might work better than layering. It is also difficult to get hard lines and fine details, but I don't fine that to be an issue as I can go in with pastel pencils to get that effect. They also apply nicely over dry watercolor paints and can rescue a painting that may not have turned out like you hoped. I haven't had them long, but I am already addicted to this medium and want to purchase more shade. I did have one color break in shipping from a different set I purchased, but I ordered a replacement and all those colors came intact. These Pan pastels are a bit expensive, but I feel they will last a very long time as it doesn't take a lot of powered since it's so finely milled. I also haven't found anything else like them, so I feel they are worth the price.

Slight Damage
It would be nice if I could just return the broken pan. I had another item from the same order (it came separately) that was so badly damaged, I had to return. Blick gave me such a hassle that I didn't want to return this because the damage is minor. The pastels themselves are great. Excellent coverage.

Absolutely love these pastels!
I did not like pastels, in fact, I hated them. One day, I saw an artist on social media, who was raving about these Panpastels. His artwork was amazing, so, I went ahead and bought this 20 Color Set Painting Colors. I was blown away at the ease of application, buttery, creamy texture, and how so very pigmented these colors are! This is, by far, the best medium, I've ever worked with. I use colored pencils and pastel pencils with them, and, I love the results. The containers stack and screw together, like, those plastic containers that you would store beads in. I did buy the clear pallets, that hold all 20 of them. That comes with a plastic cover. I also recommend that you buy the Panpastel Colorless Blender. The set comes with Sofft tools, enough to get you started. The set only comes with the round and square spatula, with covers, and not the pointed or oval one. It also comes with other extra sponges. The set also only comes with 4 lids, because of how they stack and store. So, if you want to store them separately, you need to purchase extra lids. I recommend using Pastelmat paper, if you can. The other pastel papers work too, but, I feel that Pastelmat is the best for these. You may feel that they cost a lot, and, they are not cheap, but, these pastels will last you a VERY LONG time. They are so very highly pigmented, that you need very little product. The Sofft Tools and replacement sponges are not that expensive, and, you get a lot of use out of them, before you have to purchase more. Because I loved this set so much, I went ahead and bought the 20 Color Set Tints. That set is amazing also, and, great for creating skin tones. If you have basic knowledge of color theory, you can certainly mix your own colors to achieve tints, but, I'm lazy. I am looking forward to purchasing their other sets in the future. Overall, I enjoy using these pastels, for the kind of art I like to create, and, I am very pleased with the purchase. Research on your own first, before purchasing, and, watch video tutorials, to see if this would be something that you may be interested in.

I am loving panoastels
I am loving the pan pastels, they are so versatile, you can use it like any other paint they mix really good not like the pastel sticks. They are not cheap, if you buy them in 20 sets they cost 115-120 if you buy 10 55-68. But I think that at the end cost talking will be worth it too, they are highly pigmented so great coverage and a little product goes a long way, they create very little dust compared with sticks or pencils. The tools allows you to easily paint small details, for tiny things you can use pastel pencils, they blend really good and are compatible. I am enjoying a lot practicing with it and learning to use it
