Didn't know all the ways I'd use it...
My husband suggested I pick up the Govee Wifi thermometer for my greenhouse (which is still being built). I didn't realize how many ways it would be of use. Most recently, I am hardening off my seedlings and though they were in filtered sunlight I placed the Govee in with the little pots outside to keep an eye on the temp. You can set the high temp you want it to reach and it alerts you on your smart phone when it reaches that high. Of course you can set the low temp too. My seedlings have been in the basement under gro-lights as the Govee reported 42 degrees in my unfinished greenhouse at night. Thinking of ordered a 2nd one to place in a zip-lock bag to follow soil temp overnight.

Easy to set up, good wifi connection!
We bought this for our outdoor shed to alert us is the rabbit area temps went above a set temp. I was worried if the wifi would be strong enough to reach it and don’t think the Bluetooth would work from that distance either, but it has pleasantly surprised me! We did initial set up inside so the signals were strong, then moved it to the shed. The WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity both work great! It has notified me twice when the temp has gone above our set limits. Really happy with this tool! The screen shots are from the app.

Nice Case - Easy Setup
Just received the thermometer this morning. Easy to set up with the Govee app. Immediately paired with my iPhone and my Google WiFi network.I am placing it in the attic to monitor temperature because I have three solar powered fans to reduce overall attic heat. During the peak of summer before the fans, I had measured over 140 degrees. The fans should help to lower AC bills (I live in Texas). The device is reasonably priced, simple and well built. Bravo Govee!

it *must* be calibrated. lag may preclude use as a fan control depending temp swing
It was very off, out of the box, but there is a calibration setting in the app. I was able to calibrate it but was at the max limit for temperature adjustment, so check your unit before the return window closes, in case the error is not correctable.Calibration is easy, just let it sit for a while in a place where you know the temperature. In the app, there are +/- buttons you click until the app and known temps match. Plan to do this when you do the initial setup.Be aware it takes a while to adjust to large swings in temperature. I have it in the attic, when it gets too hot, I can turn on an attic fan. However the thermometer will only change a limited number of degrees/minute, so the temperature reading lags. Even after I turn off the attic fan, the temperature reading continues to drop. I have seen it take almost an hour to read the correct temperature after 40F change. It's useful as a trigger, then have fan run for preset number of minutes instead.Setup with the app was quick and easy. The app shows not only the current temp/humidity, but there's a log for historical data, which is very nice and a feature I was seeking. You can also set up an alert for when the measurement goes out of a user-defined range. However, I was unable to change the alert level after installation, so i had to delete the item from the app and install it all over again, which is a pain. The calibration widgets also don't show up after initial installation, so get it right the first time. These are not settings one would normally change often, so the bug is low impact. So overall, the software is good, but not great.I am happy with the purchase and if your needs match up to its advertised capabilities, then I would recommend it. They also offer a cheaper bluetooth only version. I didn't ding it a star for the lag since an attic has much wilder swings than perhaps is usual.

Accrate, remote, and very good cell-attached sensor!
Works great. Connects to phone wherever you are. In my greenhouse with nights temps to 32F and day temps about 90F, so have to monitor for not too cold or too hot. Outside of owner set limits and you get a phone chime to warn you to the issue, where if too hot you can open windows, turn on fans, .... only issie is that when an alarm chimes it does so on your phone over and over about every 3 seconds, and you go crazy resetting it. The SW should be set to chome the phone once a minute or such versus continuous until phone is accessed and App reset

Great product and easy to set up!
Perfect solution for what I needed it for! My son’s new bedroom in our home does not have a thermostat and tends to run at a different temp than the rest of our bedrooms because it gets more sunlight. I needed a way to remotely monitor the temp in there and our baby cam was great but the temp feature stopped working after a few years. I just placed this little monitor on his bureau and now I can check the temp from my phone any time! Great product. Easy to set up too.

I use it in my beehive to track temperature and humidity and it works great.
I’ve been using this inside my beehive. I hung up between two of the frames in the upper deep. I’ve been monitoring the temperature and humidity on my phone without having to disturb the bees. The bees completely ignore it and it doesn’t seem to be bothering them at all.
