but is not necessary for getting fun and accurate reads
A lovely deck, Jodorowsky and Caimon have created a very authentic edition of the Marseille variant. These are by far my most lovely cards, and they are very magical. Their readings are gentle, yet insightful and I couldn't imagine not having these cards. The pips take a little getting used to, and the deck might be for more advanced readers, or aspiring beginners. The book associated with it helps a lot, but is not necessary for getting fun and accurate reads. My only complaint is that the card stock is slightly thinner than I would hope.

The deck for me! Hopefully for you too!
Amazing and powerful, this deck radiates an energy. Even from the moment I opened the deck I knew it was the one I was meant to read with. So far I have had great readings and have even spooked myself bit. I purchased the deck together with The Way of Tarot and could not be happier. Jorodowsky's teaching were exactly what I had been searching for to reignite and reunite myself with reading and learning the cards and applying their wisdom towards my life.

Very interesting
I was awfully attracted to them and find them sultry lol. I have had them for almost a year though I regret to say I have not handled them as much as I should. When I did, I had no problems connecting.

Loooove!
I loooove this deck. Attention to detail… colour… you definitely want to buy The Way of the Tarot (https://www.amazon.com/Way-Tarot-Spiritual-Teacher-Cards/dp/1594772630/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?crid=348QGSJJ5R55F&keywords=tarot+de+marseille+jodorowsky&qid=1680753090&sprefix=tarot+de+ma%2Caps%2C357&sr=8-6) if you don’t yet have it.I bought the deck after reading only a few pages of this book.

I ended up liking it quite much
At first Jodorosky's version seemed so colorful that it put me off. There is also all this controversy about the modifications that he did to some of the cards and all of that, and whether his color choices were fitting or not. In that regard, if you look up for information and compare Jodorowsky's version with all the other old Marseille decks that it's based upon, it actually makes a lot of sense most of it. And that is quite a lot to say, because when you compare all the decks avaliable in detail, the only thing that you can tell for sure is that there has been a lot of modifications along the road already back in the 17th century. Jodorosky did quite a good job researching the whys, so MOST of his choices and corrections are solidly based and not at all arbitrary. There are a couple of details not very well explained but this may actually be the closest possible nowadays to the "original Marseilles design", if we consider that ever was such a thing. All in all, it offers a version of marseilles that is logically coherent with occult philosphy while takes 98% of its components from the already existing old traditional decks from the 16th , 17th and 18th centuries. With that in mind I could care less about my color preferences. If I want a deck that is aesthetically great, there is Raider Waite, Toth, or Mary-el. If I want a Marseilles deck is because its meaning and symbolism, and in my opinion Jodorosky's version nails it at that.

A Great Deck to Study and Work
As a student of Tarot, I’ve been a fan of the Rider-Waite-Smith style of cards, which I also use often and for my professional readings as well. However, after about 10-odd years with the cards, I’ve become curious about the Thoth and the Marseilles cards and their art style and divination processes. One thing led to the other, and I ended up purchasing Jodorowsky's book. Naturally, I needed the deck to go with it, and here I am.If you are someone looking to dive deep into the Marseilles Tarot world, this is the deck you want to buy! But don't forget to get Jodorowsky's book, The Way of Tarot: The Spiritual Teacher in the Cards along with this deck as well !

Beautiful deck of Tarot Cards
I received these very promptly and they were recommended to me as a good choice for your 1st set of tarot cards. The artwork is gorgeous and I did buy a book especially written for these Marseilles cards. And a velvet pouch to keep them in. Very please with my purchase

Done again, I might have chosen a reproduction of ...
Done again, I might have chosen a reproduction of the Noblet or Dodal decks instead, but this is a quality set and it's interesting to see which symbols were chosen over others in the editorial process. Mostly I bought these because I think Jodoworsky is an interesting figure.
