A Must-Have for Anyone in a Walking Boot
My doctor recommended the EVENup after I was put in a walking boot for a partially torn Achilles tendon. I ended up wearing the boot for a couple of months, and this shoe lift made a huge difference. I used it on a sneaker, and it immediately helped balance out the height difference so I could walk much more normally and without the awkward limp. The sizing does run a bit small—I wear a men’s 7.5, and the small was slightly tight, but it still worked well and stayed secure. The adjustable height feature is great, and overall the product feels sturdy and well-designed. I’d definitely recommend this to anyone who has to wear a walking boot or cast. It makes everyday movement so much easier and more comfortable.

A GAME CHANGER!
My husband just had foot surgery. He is in a heavy walking boot for 6 weeks and people told us it throws off your body. Since he had been through two knee replacement surgeries and was doing great, we wanted to protect his knees and hips while in the walking cast. This is a game changer! Our doc recommended it and it is perfect. It fits on your shoe so that you are walking level and not throwing off your body. Don't be fooled by cheaper ones that can't be adjusted. This one has different inserts so you can make sure you are at the same level as the surgical foot. The doc just switched him to a lower ortho sandal and we just took out one layer to keep him even. Absolutely the best! He has had no knee or hip pain. You get what you pay for and, in case, pay for this better product. You will be glad you did.

The height needed to walk evenly on a fractured boot
I fractured my foot and have to be in a boot for six weeks. This Evenup shoe has made it so much easier to move around in the boot. I am not limping and putting pressure on my hip and back. My movement is much more even when I need to be on my feet.

Great idea, and they work. But they run small.
They do the job. Mostly. My two issues are: First, they run a little small. According to their size chart, these should have been right, but they were on the small size. If you are on the end of one size, I suggest you size up. Second, they are too narrow for casual shoes. It felt a little like balancing with my sneakers. In a pinch, these can be helpful. The height adjustment is easy and useful.

EVENup worked for me
DISCLAIMER: I am NOT sponsored nor do I receive products for review. On to the review: First off, I feel bad for the folks that were disappointed with the product. I've been in my EVENup for the last two weeks and so far it's been working great. I wish there were another pad that could be used to fine tune the height, but I guess that's what your regular shoes are for. Play around with whichever pair puts yours knees at the closest similar height. I've been in my Otto Bock boot for the last 5 weeks after getting surgery to reattach a torn achilles tendon. First I used the boot with two crutches and then one crutch and then one crutch and the EVENup. Now I'm off the crutch, so it's just the boot and the EVENup. I haven't slipped yet (thank the Lord) although my boot has given me a scare a couple of times. I ordered the XL version of the EVENup since I wear a size 13 and the occasional 14. US, men's. So far it's worked with a KD Trey 5X in size 13, a Puma TRC Blaze Court in 13 and a GT Jump 2 in size 14. The rubber framing fit well enough over the shoes to give a good fit. The foam is nice and hard, so it gives a good platform for your shoe to sit on. I've used the EVENup in grass, in the wet and in the dry. On tiled surfaces or polished cement it can be a little tricky, but then again what shoe has grip in those circumstances? I'm probably around 210lbs right now, and so far it seems to work out just fine for me. Could it be because of my weight? Maybe I compress the tread enough that it grips? Not too sure, but the EVENup has worked a treat thus far. I had to play around with different shoes to get the most even knee height. For all three shoes listed (I'm currently using the Pumas at the moment), the EVENup held them snug and they didn't slip out. Now bear in mind you probably shouldn't be trying out for a basketball team in these; but for regular movement I haven't had issues. Your mileage will/may vary, of course. Overall I'm glad I made the purchase. My hips definitely feel better compared to when I first tried walking without the EVENup. I get to remove the boot after next week so the EVENup will have served it's usefulness and hopefully I will never have to use it again. Ditto for my walking boot.

it worked for a while
My podiatrist advised me to get this balancer after braking my ankle and was put into a boot for 5 weeks. It came in after ordering it the very next day. I was surprised that it had 2 choices of thickness to level up to my boot thickness. It was a bit awkward at first and was a little hard getting it on my shoe. The straps stretched nice and snug and I did finally get it on and never took it off until three weeks later when I needed to change shoes. I got it off with a little difficulty and didn't use it for a few days. When my new shoes came in by mail I went to put the balancer back on and it had fallen apart and is now useless. I definitely thought it would have lasted longer. I'm just happy it didn't cost more or I may be more upset. I am glad It served it's purpose for those first three weeks. I do not regret buying it, but do regret that it only lasted for three weeks. Now would I recommend it ? Yes and no, unless you want to take the chance and hope that it last longer. It's not a pretty sight, but neither is your boot and both are necessary. . So, if you choose to buy this, your feet would now have style. Balance is more important than looks. The choice is yours.

Makes walking more comfortable.
These are amazing!! I knew I needed something to balance myself in my medical walking boot as it will be 6 weeks of wearing and wearing wedges adds height but angles opposite foot wrong. Thick enough and used both inserts of shoe lift with my work out shoes and it made walking easier with more equal balance. Effective at giving support to non injured foot as it bears more of my body weight. These are sturdy with durable straps that secured shoe well. Application is easy with slight stretchability of bands. A great value for the money. Would highly recommend.

This was worth the money. It made it a lot easier to get around having both legs the same length.

Excellent choice for people who have an air boot on the other foot. It works really well to allow level both legs and improve balance. It’s a simple solution that works really well.

This product is very helpful for the people who are using the the Vacoped boot. It helps to level the height preventing knee and foot pain on your good leg. Only issue is the size is a little smaller, i should have ordered a large instead of a medium to fit the shoes.
