Lots of detailed TIPS about this birdfeeder
I struggled at first, until I realized a few things and can give these tips: #1. Put in an easy to reach location to refill for two reasons, a. The birds leave the empty shells in there. Yes they dine in! and b. they deserve a clean feeder because lots of birds use it, and it should be cleaned with soapy warm water often. Tip #2. Because the birdslove this feeder, they are too lazy to leave with their seed, and instead they stay right there banging on their seed to open it. It is extremely cute and fun to watch....but you have to be able to tolerate the knocking sound on your window. If you don't want people studying at your dining table, hang this on the window, and after a short while, the humans will flee to another room! Tip #3. Purchase a large quantity of organic black sunflower seeds for birds. Commercial bird seed has been known to contain pesticides (Google it) and a large percentage of our Nation's wild birds have been killed because of these "sick" corporations who wanted to protect their products from rodents. Unbelieveable, I know....but that's why I spend the little extra and buy only organic seed for my wild friends who have very tiny bodies and fragile systems. Tip #4 Because the birds LOVE this feeder, they eat the organic sunflower seeds soooo fast, I have to refill it every 2 to 3 days. Tip #5. I always have to remove the suction cups completely as it is not possible to re-attach the slots while the suction cups are on the window. It's as if the suction cups are too depressed and don't stick out enough to "catch" the slots in the box. It's not a big deal, I just remove the suction cups, affix them onto the box, I breath on each one (to add a tiny mist of moisture) and then press the whole unit back onto the window. super easy. Tip #6 Getting the box hung level for aesthetic purposes ( I don't think the birds care- they just want it back up ASAP) I use a dry-eraser to draw a straight line on the inside of my window. I measure up from the bottom with a tape measure in two different spots about 8 inches apart and use a level with a bubble to make sure my line is level. Then I can easily match the box on the outside to that line. I then wipe of the line inside with a damp rag. Okey here is the negative about the bird feeder: 1. I wasn't prepared for the constant knocking sound on the window as the birds eat right there....although, because I love birds - I just put up with it. 2. Once I didn't refill the box for almost 20 hours (only) and the birds got aggressive - they vandalized the rubber perch and pecked off the little nubs from the suction cups. When I went to refill it, I see that there is nothing left on the suction cups to hang the box onto. I have looked for replacement suction cups...but haven't found them yet. Fortunately I have other bird-feeders to keep them occupied until I can order new suction cups. BTW, the suction cups are very good and strong and have great holding power. Hope this review helps.

Wonderful to be so close to the birds!
Have two and love them! One small mod makes it easier to remove from the glass for filling is replace suction cups with clear Command clear adhesive hangers with small metal hooks. Early placement allowed for a squirrel to jump on it causing the suction cup nibs to break off but the new setup is working perfectly!

I liked the first one so much I bought another
This feeder STAYS on the window. I liked the first one so much I bought another. I have both on my front windows so I can sit in my living room and watch the birds. This bird feeder is solid and well made. I will buy from this company again!

Definitely not squirrel-proof!
Works as intended if you hang it in squirrel inaccessible location. In is bit difficult to clean.

Entertaining. Enjoy seeing birds up close.
Installation was fairly easy. I used a step ladder to make sure feeder height was high enough to keep birds safe from outdoor neighborhood cats and away from branches and deck that squirrels could use as launching surfaces. I applied pressure to both suction cups on window prior to attaching feeder, it seems well secured even when I tug on feeder. I can slide the feeder off suction cups in order to refill with seed. I have some hanging feeders that attract birds in another part of my yard which I wasn’t sure if helpful (birds already in yard) or not (birds too busy at other feeders to notice new feeder). It took a couple of weeks before birds noticed it. After waiting hopefully, we got one or two visitors initially and about a week after that word must have spread because now it is busy feeder with a variety of small local birds. I like that the feeder is too small for larger birds (e.g., crows) to take advantage of it, however I am considering getting a second window feeder since only one bird seems comfortable feeding at a time which has resulted in some harsh words exchanged between birds when another tries to swoop in before the other is finished. I like that I can see the birds close enough to identify easily. I was hoping my indoor only cat would find it as interesting but so far the humans in our home find it more entertaining. Highly recommend for anyone interested in seeing birds up close.

Awesome, Low-Maintenance Little Bird Feeder!
I enjoy feeding the birds and have had many types of window feeders that have not made it much beyond 6 months. This feeder is small, but is the easiest lowest-maintenance feeder that I have had. Here are the reasons, I think this is great:1. High Quality Suction Cups that balance feeder size and weight. (It never falls)2. Birds love the green perch.3. It's small size and shape, make it hard for my squirrels to land on it. : )4. The enclosure helps birds feel safe and out of the elements.5. It sits flush against the window and is stable.6. The One-Piece design is surprisingly great! I did not think I would like it...but the whole feeder comes off the window easily, and I just dump it, fill it up and slide back over the hangers. Easy! When I put my new Kanaryware feeder up, the birds found it immediately. The only minor drawbacks I can think of, is that this is a 'small feeder' that allows, usually, only 1 bird at a time. It does fit up to the size of a cardinal, which are pretty tall. Also, because of the smaller size, you may need to fill it more often. Winter Feeding Tips: Add shelled peanuts to your sunflower seeds and you will attract all kinds of Winter Cavity Nesting Birds. I have a constant parade of chickadees, Nuthatches, Red-Breasted Nuthatches and Cardinals, all day long... Enjoy! : )
