Very large, very high quality golf umbrella
I previously owned a spring-loaded wind resistant umbrella but as good as that was it simply wasn't expansive enough to cover two adults fully. So I purchased the Samsonite Windguard to fill that gap, I needed something to get myself and an older relative from the car to the building without getting soaked in the process.I'll start with "downsides," there is only a single one: It is BIG. Quite big. It could comfortably cover two adults and mostly cover three adults. It is also almost tall enough to be a walking stick when collapsed. I'd describe the collapsed length as a fully out-stretched adult arm. This "downside" wasn't actually a downside at all for me as per my requirements. However for other buyers you may want to consider your requirements carefully before purchasing. If you want something mobile which you'll carry around a lot then maybe keep on looking, golf umbrellas aren't for you...Now the things I like: - The velcro wrapper strap, it is decently long rather than the "right length" like some umbrellas. That is a good thing since it means you can quickly and mindlessly velcro it shut after entering a building. Too many umbrellas ship with straps only just long enough to get a good grip, so they either come undone a lot or are annoying to wrap. Unfortunately it isn't reversible (velcro on only one side) but that is common since the double-sided ones can get caught in clothing/snag things. - The handle, it is rubberised. Now if you've ever been out in the rain for an extensive period you'll know that your hands get very sensitive when cold and wet, so a traditional plastic handle can both be slippery but also feel uncomfortable. The rubber somewhat mitigates that, and it is an important feature given the higher weight of this umbrella also. - Decent plastic cap on top, some large umbrellas pretend like you aren't going to use them like a walking stick (hitting the ground with them) when not out. You are, everyone does it! Fortunately they gave this one a thick plastic cap which after some usage doesn't have any marks on it. - Wind resistant, too many umbrellas have been turned inside out due in part to their poor design. While the wind-gaps aren't going to make an umbrella bulletproof, they are going to mitigate most heavy conditions people could encounter day to day. This umbrella flexes very little in the wind, I'd honestly be more concerned about what the heavy wind would do to my arm holding it than what the wind would do to the umbrella -- my arm might give out first. - Spring loaded, this is a MUST HAVE. You don't want to be stepping into the rain only to mess around getting your umbrella up, or reaching around in the stork looking for where to push up without getting caught in the spokes. Just push the button and 'boom' it is up. The button for the spring mechanism is also larger than some other umbrellas, this is a good thing since a few have it hidden in the handle so you need to look to find it.

Large umbrella, can be a bit cumbersome and is a bit heavy but I love that it covers me effectively as a 6'2" 300pound guy who walks to work often, I hate to show up wet from rain. Feels solidly constructed. Will provide a supplimental review after more tu ime

Tough as nails, small and portable, handles strong wind and rain. But the coverage area is smaller than many. This is a great umbrella to stow away and use in an emergency storm. Not great for keeping your whole body dry and too small to be shared. High quality.

Great Umbrella
Nice and beefy umbrella, easy to hold, and works for two people or one with a backpack or satchel. Has served me well so far, I expect to get many years from this top quality umbrella.

Great umbrella, snaps open & it easy to manually close
When someone mistakenly walked off with my umbrella I tried a cheaper replacement, and I regret it. this one was easy to close, the new one is difficult - just horrible trying to get into the car in a rain storm. It has good coverage, with enough drop on the edges to guard against wind - in Missouri you don't get rain without wind; my replacement is flatter which allows more rain in the sides. If the samsonite didn't cost so much I would buy another.

Big, well made. I have owned a smaller version for several years. This is a welcomed addition.

Nice, but big
This umbrella seems to work great, but it is pretty long so if you don't have a place like your trunk to store it in you would be better off with the more compact versions, but I wanted a umbrella that would keep me and my wife covered if necessary and this does the job. I was surprised that this umbrella has a button so it pretty much opens on its own though I still hold on to it to keep it from opening to fast. Nice design.
