Coffee, Tea, Mixed Media Art on Canvas, 6x12, "Take Life One Cup at a Time"

Welcome to the whimsical world of Shabby Girl Creations. This listing is for my original MIXED MEDIA artwork on a 6X12 traditional stapled-back canvas which is in the "Inspiration Collection." A BIT ABOUT HOW THIS PIECE WAS CREATED: The backgrounds are created using acrylic paints, sometimes modeling paste over a stencil or distress ink over a stencil to create the 'coffee stain' look. Each and every cup is hand drawn onto patterned paper and cut. Using my exacto knife I create a slit into the top of each cup so I can 'stack' them on top of each other. I use my faber castell brush pens and my windsor and newton water color pens to add shading to the piece. I hand craft the 'tea bag tags' out of patterned paper as well. I LOVE this design and, it is by far a customer favorite as well. ABOUT MY WORK: I use only the best and most unique products when creating my masterpieces, such as acrylic paints, archival quality papers, faber castell india ink brush pens - which are also lightfast - windsor and newton watercolor markers, vintage papers and sewing patterns, patterned tissue papers, prima-style flowers, bubble wrap, drywall tape, cheese cloth, real jewelry, and lace...just to name a few! Whew! I pay special attention to the details of each piece, after all it's the small things that count, right!? You will notice that even the sides of my canvases are finished and detailed to give each piece a complete look.
