I was getting EVAP codes and I was told to replace the cap first with a genuine Honda Cap and warned about using Amazon because it may say OEM but ends up being a Knock off and still have codes.I have had this on for a couple months and no codes, I call it good and would buy it again.

Perfect fit and original equipment for my 2013 Honda Crosstour. You must carefully remove and save the little, square retaining piece. There is a video on you toob explaining how to remove plastic retainer and open it to accept the round end of your new gas cap cable…it’s easy. I used a screwdriver to gently push one tab at a time while tugging on the other end then once out the plastic square retainer carefully needs to be pried open like a clam. The retainer is a clam like clamp that will trap ur rounded end of your new gas cap cable. Estimated time 5 minutes if your slow like me.

I had the engine light come on due to gas emissions, but it was really due to the gas cap. This gas cap worked to get the engine light off in my Honda Accord.

This cap works perfectly with my husband’s 2008 Honda Accord. I lost the cap for his Accord at a gas station and after several auto zone caps later, I decided to buy this one instead and it works MUCH better. It’s not an original cap, as the original fuel cap is metal and this one is plastic but it’s definitely a genuine Honda replacement piece. We had issues with the none OEM replacement caps as the engine light would come on occasionally and we had fuel efficiency issues. With this cap the engine light has not come on and we have been saving on gas as it has lasted much longer between time spent at the pump with this cap. An unexpected side effect much needed at this time. I didn’t bother to figure out how to re attach the cable to the door but it sits perfectly in the seat on the door too so I don’t need it. EXCELLENT purchase!
