These are pretty and I'm using them, but they are by no means what I would call "heavy duty". Two of them were already leaning out (no longer a 90 degree L shape) upon arrival and one that is in place is leaning out after only a couple of days in use. They hold fine, but bookends shouldn't be bent out. I think they will hold up but are strained. So they will work fine for light duty (like standard paperbacks), but if you've got heavier or taller books, look elsewhere. It will work for me because I have a mixture so I could use some other ones I have for the heavier books and these for the lighter ones but if you are in need of holding back heavier books, I don't think these will fit your needs. I gave it 4 stars because it works for me and it's not like they don't work at all, but I just wanted everyone to be aware of what they were getting.

While the designs are very attractive, the metal is thin (thinner that standard office metal book ends) and can therefore bend out and not hold the books vertical.

These are pretty bookends, and they get the job done, but they’re not very robust or sturdy. They’re flimsier than your typical office bookend, so they bend if the books are leaning a bit and putting excess weight on the bookend. I like how they look, though.

These are really attractive. I bought them for children who are learning from home. They need to keep certain books on their desktop so that they are accessible for class. I was amazed that even the thick, heavy textbooks stayed in place. These bookends are not large, but they are sturdy, strong, don't slide around, and don't bend. The bonus is that they are very pretty! This is a good product for a reasonable price and I'm entirely satisfied.

I have lots of manuals and heavier non-fiction books that require sturdy bookends to keep them upright on my book shelves. These bookends are a relatively inexpensive ( and quite stylish ) solution. I'm sure I'll be buying more in the future as I add shelves and buy more books.

These are among the most attrctive bookends I have seen in a long time. They are fairly lightweight--I'd call it a perfect weight--yet, because of the non-slip bases on them, the heaviest books don't cause them to shift on the shelves. I suspect more of these will be in my future!

I use these to organize my desk for binders and my dresser for the most used cds and videos, The plain metal ones would have looked awful. These are so nice. Other kinds of decorative book ends seemed clunky.

Heavyweight. I have floating shelves through out my house and these are great to keep my books, cds, magazines and other such items organized. The designs add a touch of oopmph to the displays.

Took forever to get here thanks to covid but I'm happy with them. Good sturdy design and pleasant patterns hold my books up nicely on my new open ended shelves.
