MaraNatha Organic Peanut Butter Crunchy -- 16 oz

I don't know what happened but I opened this to a bunch of lard looking stuff, for lack of a better word, on top, I thought oh well, it's just because it's been refrigerated, so I dug in and ate some. There was no smell. It just didn't taste right. Strong. Perhaps the shelf life of organic is shorter. I love MaraNatha and especially their almond butter. Don't know what went wrong, or if my taster doesn't like organic.

I tried this peanut butter because I read that this company is very careful to produce a peanut butter without aflatoxins (mold), which peanuts are prone to if stored improperly. I wanted so badly to love this brand, but I have to say I was disappointed with the flavor. First, it was very light in color. I had to check the ingredients on the label to make sure it had roasted peanuts in it, which it did. The color almost looked like raw cashew butter instead of roasted peanut butter. Second, the flavor was bland with very little peanut flavor to it. I kept tasting it to make sure my taste buds weren't off that day but each time I tried it I just came away with the same conclusion. Very disappointing.

As far as the taste it is good.The ingredients are as advertised all organic and natural.Now for the texture it is VERY RUNNY!!!!! That is why I gave it a 3.

I have been buying MaraNatha for yrs now & am about to buy more. I was looking at an article about peanutbutters & MaraNatha did not contain the bad things that most ÖRGANICS"do. I find this peanutbutter to be the BEST on the market LOVE that rich taste & the crunch.By the way, peanuts & peanut butter are extremely HIGH in toxins. It is primarily due to the peanuts' direct contact with the soil that they have become harmful, and even dangerous, to your health. Although I would to eat everything organic (but I don't) I always buy organic peanut butter.

I have tried everyone's peanut butter. This one is by far the best. It has the texture, flavor and it keeps perfectly in the refrigerator (it stays spreadable). It's delicious on apples, celery in protein shakes and in sandwiches. Yum! I only wish I could get it online cheaper (as a subscribe and save item) as it is still less expensive to get the 26 ounce jar at the store.

This is by far my most favorite- it doesn't taste like sticky oil. Very healthy, I love the taste and texture and it keeps well in the refridgerator. It doesn't get hard when it's cold, and tastes great!
