I took the device on a west coast backpacking trip -- the device is supposed to charge automatically in direct sunlight, which it indicated it was doing by displaying a green light, however, after 16 hours of driving with it on the dashboard, hours the next day exposed (yes, panel-side-sunward), and hours of exposure on subsequent days, it still could not begin to charge my iPhone 6, displaying a slickly flickering single light. If it is meant to charge devices only once it has reached a full charge - how long that might take, I have no idea - it is terribly impractical. If not, it seems to be prone to failure. I charged it once by outlet, and it took only a few hours to illuminate all four lights at the top of the device, indicating its full charge, after which it was able to charge my iPhone almost 3 times over. But alas, until I see an outlet on a tree, I will not be recommending this product.

I purchased this because living in Michigan, we get snowstorms sometimes. It's very easy to get stranded and end up needing a charge. It would be useful for that any other emergency situation. It hasn't been very sunny here lately but the device charges from in my house just absorbing the diluted cloudy light. it has 2 ports, a 1amp and a 2.1amp which the latter works very fast to charge my device. It also has a port to charge by wall outlet for a faster charge. I like it also for saving energy because it can charge itself from the sun and I can use it to charge my devices, FREE ENERGY! it has nice weight to it and feels well built. I am very happy with my purchase! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

This portable charger is by far my favorite charger. It holds its for a long time and charges my LG G4 2 times and gives me a decent 23-40 percent charge on the third time. I really like this charger. It is well made and came nicely packaged a day earlier than expected which was a plus. I have been really enjoying this. It has a rugged design and can handle its own when handled harshly. Have dropped it 3 times accidentally and not a scratch on it. I don't know how long it would take for the solar charger to charge on the solar panels alone, but I leave the power bank to charge over night that is a roughly 8 hours of chargetime. It chn still charge my phone when it is fully depleted and then take it outside to charge for a bit via the solar panels. It doesn't fully charge my phone, but keeps it on a power state mode in case i need to make an emergency call. The flashlight is really good on it. It does not reach far but bright enough to illuminate your surrounding. Overall this is an amazing charger. The unit is fairly compact. It measure approx. 3X5.5X.5 inches. I have not been able to use the solar charger portion of the unit, because it has not been very sunny out. I have tested it by using an indoor halogen lamp and the light on the unit indicate it is charging. When it gets a little more sunny out, I will test the solar panel and update the review.The unit comes with a micro USB and a mini clip and an led light. The unit also comes all most fully charged. it has 2 USB outlets and one micro USB input. It seem swell built and the unit is sealed very well so I can see why it is Waterproof. I was able to charge my Galaxy Note fairly quickly. I got this unit because it is shock proof, waterproof and dustproof. I use it for work so I need something that will be durable and last. This unit seem more durable than my Ravpower unit with almost like a otter box cover to help it absorb the shock if and when it gets dropped.The solar panel is 120mAh so it will probably take a long time to get a full charge on solar, but that would be used as a last resort for me, or when camping out. So far I am very pleased with the purchase of this charger.I received this product at discount for a review.

I really like solar chargers especially for my boys when they are out camping and hiking. It gives me peace of mind to know they will have a cell phone charged even if they can't get to electricity. It works really well and does a good job of charging thier phone. It hangs from their Pack while they are hiking charging up for them the whole time and it works so nice. I am very impressed with just how easy this is to use for them. I am glad I was able to get it so no matter where they are if they have sun they have a phone.I purchased this product for a reduced price to make an honest and unbiased review.
