The kaleidoscope was my favorite toy as a child growing up.Now this one is way better than the one I had, but still has that nostalgic quality and feel to it.It’s built in an excellent quality, sturdy tin and has a beautiful array of mosaics!!Turning it and watching it makes you feel joyful, creative, and at peace.Now there is what I call a ‘suspense turn’ where after a few turns (3 turns) there is a resistance to it while turning. And you can hear and see it through the video.I do not know whether it’s a default or a mistake.But personally I love it!Maybe add a bit of lubrication for it to turn smoothly. But it will remove that extra suspense or excitement feeling as you turn it. It will feel bland.TIP:The best environment to use your kaleidoscope is on a natural light or a white light and then angle it to a darker area while still getting that light.YOU WILL SEE THE MAGIC THERE. At the midpoint of both light and dark there is a beauty hiding within.5/5⭐️ BEST KALEIDOSCOPEI’ve had a liquid kaleidoscope before too. But this one is more magical and nostalgic. IT IS PERFECT!

Lack lots of colors, but is still entertaining

I received the blue version of this kaleidoscope as a nostalgic present. The body is made of metal, and the small coloured 3D pieces inside are shaped like flowers and cut gemstones. The printed design is placed so that it forms a continuous, symmetrical, aesthetically-pleasing pattern around the body. The plastic at the end containing the gemstones is faceted and sturdy - just make sure you take off flexible plastic protector on this end! None of the mirrors or plastic inside the kaleidoscope were damaged or cloudy, and the patterns created were clear and beautiful. Hold the kaleidoscope up to the light for best results! The mirrors are not be placed to create 100% symmetry inside the kaleidoscope, but the resulting patterns are gorgeous all the same.

I wanted to see some bright colors because winter here is cinderblock grey. "Oh! I need a kaleidoscope like when I was a kid!" But Walmart didn't carry them (waaa??).So I went to Amazon & found lots of them. I picked this one, tho I read something about durability not great. Hmm, being an adult not going to stir my custard with it or throw it out a car window, it's plenty tough enough. Besides, at under $10 ... JUST BUY ANOTHER, duh. The colors of crystals are VIBRANT and enough of them that most patterns hardly show any background.Myself, I'm totally thrilled.And the price is fantastic.TEN STARS.

I was really excited to get this kaleidoscope. I had received one for my birthday last year and misplaced it. When I saw this one, I thought it was the same as my former one, but, it wasn't. It had way too many stones inside and created a very busy vision. I prefer the kaleidoscope that had fewer stones in it to create simpler designs. It's all in what you want. This is well made, sturdy and contains probably hundreds of little, colorful stones, if that's what you're looking for.

My 8 year old grandson loved it. Previously had a paper tubed one that didn't last long in the tub. 😂 Lessons learned.

Took kalidascope to school and students were amazed with it. Some didn't know what it was. Loved showing them and they loved the color show!
