Consider this a worthwhile purchase
I've just tried the Peruvian Chocolate Cricket powder with the brownie recipe from the free pdf book. Because I have the chocolate powder and not the all-purpose flour, I substituted the 6 Tbsp of cocoa for 6 Tbsp of the Peruvian Chocolate powder. I also cut the flour down to 2/3 cup and supplemented the rest of the 3/4 cup with the chocolate powder. It came out great, and my 2 year old son isn't complaining! It packs so much protein, I could barely finish half a brownie after dinner! I've included a picture of the final product. I encourage everyone thinking about buying this product to give it a chance. It does have a slight nutty crunch to it, but to be honest, it smells just like cocoa powder in the bag and a TV dinner brownie cooked with the recipe from the book. I thoroughly enjoyed this product. On another note, the shipping was quick. I received this product promptly, and technically well before Amazon estimated the shipping. The CEO of Cricket Flours personally signed the letter included in the packaging, which shows he honestly cares what people think about his products. I also had a personally written email from the CEO thanking me for my purchase, and I think that's awesome.I encourage anyone reading this to visit their website at CricketFlours.com as they regularly add new recipes for customers to try with all their products.

You can actually feel the bits of crickets in your mouth...
I typically eat chocolate Whey based protein - it mixes completely with water and tastes really good.My daughter is a vegetarian, and i was like - hey! - not animal protein, much less water to get a gram of protein, more sustainable! Wow - I'm a super cool human!I just drank my first shake of this product today. OMG. It tastes like someone caught crickets, threw them in the oven, ground em up and put them in the bag with a hint of cocoa powder. You can actually feel the bits of crickets in your mouth, and i couldn't really detect chocolate or peanut butter in the flavor. The color looks like chocolate, which sort of tricks your brain into thinking it tastes like chocolate, but it doesn't. It tastes like toasted crickets. If you are a hard core vegan and maybe baking with this - go for it. If you want a shake to drink - its really, really bad.

Actually tasted good
Didn't smell bad to me, tasted fine. You can mix it with other powdered protein or nutrient powders and not taste anything at all. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because it was very expensive for a small amount. I think we need this industry to get up and running before it's too late.

Tastes great!. I assume I'm getting the protein it states. Easy way to get good protein. I got it because I just got braces and my protein intakes was going waaayyyy down. Thought this would tide me over until I could chew again - but I'm going to keep it as a regular staple in the house.

Amazing
I have only tried cricket flour a couple times, but this product far exceeds the others I have tried. I love that it is produced in United States. It was fresh and the taste was amazing. I will never buy from another company.
