Versatile (all in one) headphone
Was looking at the Sennheiser HD25 to replace my Marshall Major headphones that I used to use for DJ monitoring and with upgrading in mind, I was looking to upgrade my JBL Tune 500 BT daily and all purpose headphones. I decided to look for an all rounder and came across the V Moda brand and found that these which are essentially the Crossfade 2 Wireless were a good compromise to serve both purposes. I had a premium expectation from the reviews I had seen and whilst my expectations were a little higher than my experience with these headphones, it is still quite a good set of headphones with sound quality that is good enough for monitoring. The sound profile does favour the low and high frequencies which can rarely overpower the mid range but this is like below 1% of the time I had used it. Build quality is fair and better than most in my previous price range but I feel that it could do with 5% improvement on certain joints feeling a little loose.I got them at a real good price when Amazon had them on special which made them an absolute steal even with import duties to my country. Despite not being ANC headphones, they manage to block out quite allot of background noise. In conclusion a very solid build from steel and soft plush leather with a sound quality that is in the premium segment. I would of given a full 5 stars if the joints were as premium as the overall build and sound quality and not wiggly at times, which tends to annoy me and if the included cable without the inline mic was a coiled cable. Definitely recommend them though for bedroom and hobbiest DJs with a limited budget and looking to stretch their currency.

OK, but not for cost
BASS: they are NOT crushers; they do have some good bass; they are NOT dual Drivers; so you don't get much in terms of reducing mudd while increasing bass.MID: sound pretty good. I prefer plantronics BB Fit 505; then JLabs; the v-moda will get louder and hold the quality I don't use an amp, - but for my office: the mid-strings, and HQ music;plantronics are by FAR the best sounding 30mm driver; and I mean they outperform $400 senheizers; V-moda next. JLabs are great and most durable while the lightest. V-moda is heavy in weight.HIGH Tones: pretty good. Also V-moda mic is marginal; the mic on Crusher outperforms all the rest; Even plantronics which was designed for office use; Incredible; I am told a noticeable quality improvement in mic when I switch to chusher or plantronics over V-moda.BlueTooth CODEC Support: SBC ONLY: it does 5.0; but doesn't support music specific enhanced protocols like apple AAC or aptx; theres alot of snuff over this debate; (phone setting issues, the source, upscaling, etc.) all in all; I'd like to see it supported. It DOES Make a difference; for gaming you want AAC, APTX HD, APTX-LL or SBC-HQ for its latency and voice quality. For movies; you especially want a low latency codec; I can't stand adjusting the lip sync or hearing something blow up far later in timing. For music this doesn't really matter much but APTX offers 24-bit so if you source is 24-bit you will hear a difference. This is not common. but far as Kbps; APTX is also better. So if you stream music; at 160kbps; you can't tell; then good headphones are marginal you want headphones with a built in DAC like crushers to upscale/synthesize/filter; soundbars do this often. anything 320kbps or better, and you want that quality headphone; V-Moda will definitely keep up with that source. With 2-4x the cost of the other three; I can't justify the purchase. Its High quality and you can't go wrong when you spend that kind of money (when you purchase marketed headphones at high cost like iPods). then sound or cost is not a concern.Build quality; these are very well built and feel strong as well. they fit well. but feel heavy.

Garbage
Preface this by saying I’m a DJ / Audio professional of 30 years. Also, I’m typically a very happy Amazon customer. These were refurbished and per the Amazon description, “slight cosmetic issue” was why they came at a discounted price.Open package, the 1/4” adapter was missing. Annoying but I have a ton of them on hand so not a deal breaker.Plug them into my Pioneer DDJ 1000 SRT, headphone volume not even up half way… distortion. Meh… I knew I was taking a chance on an unknown (to me) brand and used at that…. So I chalk that up as well and think, well they sound decent at lower volumes, I’ll keep them for Bluetooth headphones.Pull them out for my business trip, charge them overnight, they hold a charge for about 90 minutes. Troubleshoot different cords, different devices, etc etc…. It’s not rocket science, it’s the headphone battery.Amazon support chat was less than helpful on attempt one and two. They wanted me to go through the manufacturers warranty. Really? You sold me headphones with missing parts that WON’T CHARGE.End result after three attempts with support? Amazon gift card minus the “restocking fee”…I’m pretty bummed all around on this one.
