Amazology RAINFOREST Sandalwood Men's Shaving Cream with Andiroba Oil and Buriti Oil, 8 oz

I was given discounted product to review, while I wear a full beard I do still clean up my neck a few times a week so thought I'd give it a shot.I've only ever used shaving cream from a can and shaving soap that lathers up well, this product was a bit weird to me. It's like someone sprayed shaving cream out of a can into a jar. You can not create a thicker lather with this with a brush or your hands which was a bit different to me. The smell is pleasant enough and there is a cooling/tingling sensation from one or more of the ingredients. The product does leave an oily residue after shaving which I couldn't just splash water on and remove like I can with shaving soap or spray shaving cream. It did allow for a close shave and didn't gunk up my safety razor any more than shaving soap or spray-can shaving cream.

I was really disappointed when I used the Amazology shaving cream. When I opened it, the cream had a nice scent to it. Normally, I don’t use a mug. I liked to get my brush nice and wet and the current cream that I have lathers really nice. So nice in fact, that I just set my brush down and after the first shave, I can go back to it and apply more of the shaving cream already in the brush and still get a very nice lather without having to go back to the container to get more. My current shaving cream is also at the same price point that is being offered by Amazology. I tried to do the same with Amazology’s cream. When I put it on my brush, it practically didn’t do anything. So I got my mug out to give it a fair chance. I put in some nice warm water with the cream and mixed it with my brush. I got the same results. I hardly could get anything on my face. I was reduced in using my hands to put it on my face like you normally do when you get shaving cream in a can. I was able to get a good amount on my face, but felt like I was wasting a lot to get it on. The actual shaving experience was pretty good. I got a nice smooth face and the after effects is pretty nice and leaves a cool chill feeling.

Works. Smells good. I've tried a lot of shave creams looking for the perfect one. They all make you look good, especially if you apply them and wait a bit before shaving. This cream is a little stickier than some others, but it doesn't bother the shave. I use more water on my hands before applying it for smoother application. I like the aroma of sandalwood. This one is very nice.

Smells great and provides a good smooth shave. The problem is that this soap doesn't foam up when used with a brush. This means it takes 10x more of this cream compared to some other brands which in the long term will make this mug more expensive per shave.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS SHAVE CREAM....I get some of my best shaves from it...my skin feels good afterwards and had superior protection...but it doesn't whip the greatest lather...but that doesn't bother me...stuff smells great and works even better...definitely get some and try it out!

smells good, but the oil separates from the cream each day requiring shaking to reunite them before use. Also does not foam up at all.

I have used most of the high end shaving creams, Origins, LAB, a few others. I really like this one. it actually does help with razor burn. I don't know of there is a numbing agent or something in there but its definitely a very comfortable shave.

Wow!!! The smell is amazing! The product is great which I purchased for my dad and he wants to repurchase already. Very creamy and whipped. Nice consistency for shaving!
