A tiny budget wonder.
7Artisan's 18mm F6.3 fixed aperture prime lens is a bit of an oddity. Sharpness falls off towards the corners, vignetting is present, and you may notice some visual distortions and flaring. But in exchange for compromising on these things, you get a remarkably good value manual prime lens in a body cap form factor.Attached to my Panasonic Lumix GF2, I snapped these pictures whilst out and about. And that is very much the beauty of this lens, especially when paired with a small M43 camera. It's beyond portable; on the body, it's maybe the thickness of three phones. It's really well constructed and solid feeling, but definitely not heavy, making the entire package easily pocketable. You can take your camera everywhere with you, and whip it out at your leisure. One huge downside is that you cannot attach a lens cap onto it, which is going to require some careful pocketing/storing and mindfulness to wipe off the front lens element before using. I've seen some 3d printed caps for it that cover the entire lens, so I may print one of those off. At the moment though, a fabric sunglasses bag keeps it nice and safe.

Poor Quality even for the price
So to start I honestly think I may have gotten a defective Item as none of the reviews seem to have talked about this . Either way was a waste of money and is now just an overpriced lens cap for me .Build : looks as expected, nice and compact, although the short throw , the focus ring is smooth and the lens is as light as the lens cap .Image Quality: utterly shocking . Magenta coloured vignetting on the short sides of the image . Colours on the image were also off and only so much manual white balance can correct. Issues got worse when taking the lens on holidays . In the sun the lens was a terror , one side of the image being over exposed while the other sider being almost black with very harsh vignette that could only be recovered so far in editing.Only purpose i might have for this lens now is at best a cloudy day black and white shooter , as the colours are off and the vignette issue is terrible. Honestly shocked it was so bad given the reviews .Used on Sony E mount camera for reference. Avoid honestly they are probably better ones slightly up in budget

Great little lens.
I attached this to my Fuji X-A5 giving a remarkably small package which fits in any pocket easily. It has a small focussing facility but without having experimented too much with this I found that setting it just back from infinity seemed to give great snapshots without fiddling about too much. I would say that 6 out of 10 photos were acceptable. I managed to get one or two absolutely excellent portrait photos using natural light. It reminds me of the old days with point and shoot film cameras.

Fine on M43
Less than £60, you can't complain. I tested on an old epl-7, and it works just fine, you get a bit of a vintage look, It's not the sharpest, and it's manual focus with a fixed aperture. Set it to a bit less than infinity and do some urban photo walks, set it to infinity for a landscape, and it's OK too. I repeat, though, it's not the sharpest, but it does work quite well on the smaller sensor size of a m43 camera. Vignetting is minimal, and It's not too soft around the edges. RAW files converted to black and white with a little added contrast have a nice look about them. I like this lens, it forces me to think about what I'm doing. Have fun, I am

it's light
it's not very sharp for my needs but you get what you pay for it's ok but at a locked 6.3 you would think it would focus clearly.

Just buy it
Are you not sure? Just buy it already. The image quality is just decent, but all the other perks outweigh the flaws. It's incredibly cheapIt's super thin, thinner than a pancake lens and so lightweight you forget you have it attached to your camera bodyIt gives film-like vibesShort focusing distanceYou can work on hyperfocal, perfect for street photographyAmazing bang for your buck, did I say that already? Just buy it, you won't regret it.

Not sharp enough
Lens is not sharp, and it is for crop sensor . Not for fullframe

Not bad for a cheap lens.
This is not a high end lens, but then you wouldn't expect that from the price. However, if you are after a dreamy, vintage look to your shots, then this lens could be for you.
