I never thought I'd be so stoked on a nail file but here we go: This is the best nail file ever. The quality and strength is so high that I'm able to use this as my only method of controlling my dog's nails. He's terrified of clippers and dremels but allows me to file them. This thing is not being worn down at all and it's easy to clean. I wish I'd known about this product sooner. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for a nail file for any reason.

Used this file on a onychomycosis thickened toe nail that grows deformed and protruding. I was able to file the nail down within a minute or two. I have not been able to find a file to do this sufficiently and completely until now.

Pros: best quality diamond coating I have seen.Suitable selection of grits.Cons: diamond coating only on one side.On the other side is smooth plastic.Too flexible for me but some may like this feature.I'll look elsewhere but you may like it.

I use this on my husband's very tough toe nails and on my Yorkie mix's toenails. The pup far prefers filing to clipping and treats are non-negotiable. Husband is happy I will bend down to file his nails.

Use this on my extra thick 86 year old toenails. Have used the #3 (coarse) file for years. This cuts my time spent filing by way more than half. Well worth the price. Used the previous file for over 7 years.

I expected a stiff file, with two sides of differing coarseness. This is coated with very fine grit, on only one side, and is not very sturdy. Probably OK for dainty nails, but not for toenails like hooves, such as mine.

Unfortunately the #4 is very coarse. But I think the company is no longer making these files.

It does not last long. The grit is not as strong and after 1.5 months I can not use it.
