Does the top pin need to be fully separated to work? Worried about losing one half during a situation

Hello, the top pin does not have to be fully separated to work but since it does not require a lot of strength to pull the pin- it can be very easily separated once you pull it.

At what distance was the db level measured? There is a big difference between 130db at 6 inches and 130db at 100 feet (fire alarm requirement)

I was told the distance of a football field. But that is what I was told.
