Good esp if you are slowly saving for something and want a large holder that you can remain untempted to open
LOVE THESE banks. I have one for each child in the house and two for myself. What I do is I superglue both the top and bottom pieces so that I am not tempted (well, really so my kids are not tempted,) to open the top up and take out money. Its tall and can fit A LOT of coins and money. I just filled one to the top about a month ago (took about a year) and only tossed in pocket change and maybe once a week a bill... Brought it to the bank for a Coinstar count and I had saved $988.21 in a year...

Big, top comes off
The lid and top will come off if moved, so not a really good bank. It is HUGE as well so your kid might fill it by college. :)
