Worth the money
If you do any kind of edge banding on a regular basis, this is worth your money. I’ve bought other plastic trimmers and they don’t even come close. This feels and fits the hand perfectly. You can edge all the way to a corner and not leave an inch or so you have to manually trim. It’s sharp right out of the box. So when I took this out of the box, I’m looking for the blades. I didn’t see anything. I was thinking…”CRAP!”… have to return it already. But instead I go out and try it! WONDERFUL! The blades are very inconspicuous. I haven’t taken it apart to see how it sharpens. But no need to for now. It actually leaves a nice micro chamfer that looks VERY professional. I initially didn’t want to spend this much but I wasn’t satisfied with the other plastic ones out there and this one was the only one that looked solid and sturdy. I knew I was going to be doing quite a bit of banding soon. So I bought it. It hasn’t disappointed.

Great tool.
What helps this tool is the weight of it. Most trimmers are plastic, lightweight, and not sturdy. This has the right feel in the hand, and the weight behind it helps you slice through veneer well. Great tool, sharp out of the box.

Pricy but good
I liked the design and function but the price seems a bit high and sharpening instructions were not included.

From a PROFESSIONAL stand point, avoid like the plague
I work in a professional work shop. I operate a large edge band machine where a 8 pack of adhesive pellets cost $400. So I don't use those iron on tapes. We have high end clients whose kitchen ranges from 30k upwards of 100k. That said, this thing sucks. I have purchased $18 ones here on amazon that outperform this thing. It has no sharpness nor does it clean the tape and give it a nice round over bezel like that the $18 one. Definitely a waste of money.

Chops the edge too much easily
This looks nice and is well made but it cuts too much of the edge. it is possible that the type of edge i am using - walnut with 3m glue on it - is not ideal for this cutter but it seems that one can’t be careful enough to prevent a tear out

The real deal
I’m doing a multiple faux beam ceiling project using oak laminate over MDF. This trimmer was worth every penny. Substantial feel in your hand with good cutting edge, dead on trim. This was a good purchase that saved time. This is NOT a tool with a changeable blade. The tool itself is sharpened on both ends perfectly.

Its ok
It does it’s job but not the best because it doesn’t make that perfect match up with the edge

Not sharp as reported and hard to use
Inspite of the high rating and the price it doesn't work no way near as reported. It look sturdy but doesn't remove except with lots of effort and time so it isn't tottaly useless.
