Great price. Simple construction. Great low strain method to open and close the jacuzzi lid.
I have had three different kind of jacuzzi cover lifts. The other two were the kind where the lid end up on the side of the jacuzzi standing "straight up". This one you just slide the lid over to the side of the jacuzzi. Why does this matter?Well, when a lid is brand new and light, any lift works well, however, over time when it get's waterlogged, or if it is covered in heavy ice which may happen in the winter when snow melts and freezes on top of the jacuzzi - then the standard models are not good.If the lid is heavy from ice or water, it makes it very difficult to close it again. Another issue that happened to both my old lids over the last 8 years was that the seem in the middle was ripped broken because of the heavy weight pulling the lid up and over every time I used the jacuzzi. This very simply model is incredibly easy to install and incredibly simple design that just "cant" break. You pull out the arm and it stands straight out at 90 degrees. You simply slide the cover over on the two arms and this causes minimum strain on the lid and the seems. It also makes it possible for the smaller members of my family to open and close the jacuzzi without my help. Finally - at under $90 this product is far cheaper than any other type of lift. You may think that one of the drawback may be that you need more space on the side of the jacuzzi, but even with the stand up lift models, you need plenty of space on the side of the jacuzzi to be able to lift a heavy lid back on.This winter is the first winter season I am going to use this model, so I don't know if snow and ice will cause a problem, I suspect it will actually make it even easier to slide the lid off and on, but I will have to update this review after a few serious winter months.

Simple Is Sometimes Best
Purchased a new cover for my spa and wanted to have something that makes it easier to remove the cover when I wanted to use the spa. Didn't want anything fancy or more expensive than I had spent on the cover - no motors, etc. Didn't want a cover lifter that put undue wear on the cover itself - several lifters raise the cover at the hinge and can wear it out over time. Because of where my spa is located I couldn't meet the clearance requirements without having to move the spa and electrical line - not happening. A number of lifters require drilling holes into the spa - this was okay as long as the number of holes was minimal and did not impact the structural integrity of the spa. Than sure cuts down the number of options.I will admit, there was another lifter I would have preferred to get, but it was difficult to find a distributor. This got me worried that maybe there was something wrong with it and that they weren't making them anymore. Anyway, that led to selecting this device.Technically it isn't a lifter as it doesn't lift the cover. When extended, the roller provides a 'table" next to the spa for the cover level with the top of the spa. All you have to do is open the side of the cover away from where the roller is and then push the cover onto the roller "table". Voile, out of the way! It mounts to the side of the spa - (structural integrity??? - six screws fastened into two 2x2 frame supports). Clearance requirements??? - half the width of the cover and folds out of the way when not in use. Doesn't put any excessive wear on the cover (cover hinge) itself. Price??? - couldn't find anything cheaper that worked as well. Just what I was looking for.

Great cover lifter for about 1/4 the price of others
This has worked great. It has the big benefit of not blocking your view on the side the cover is off on - most cover lifters block the views on the side they come off on. It's also as easy to use as other lifters for about a third or a fifth of the price depending on what you compare it to. It also has the best appearance of any lifter I've seen when it's not in use and you flip the arms down. The other reviews provide enough useful info so I'm mostly doing a review to give my quick thumbs up.Update: amazingly this lasted in the hot Florida sun and rain for a full 7 years. Pretty much nothing I leave outside lasts for more than 5 years. Patio chairs, wheelbarrows, trash cans are all worn down by the long days of hot sun plus 3 months where it rains each day for a few hours. Other cover holders I've owned only lasted for about 3 or 4 years here. Also, with this cover holder, I left the arms up about 90% of the time so they were heavily exposed to the sun. If I had put the arms down after use, it probably would have lasted 3 to 5 years longer ... because when they are down, they are almost flush with the side of the tub, so they sun doesn't hit them except for a portion of the day. I left them up, so they were hit by the sun most of the day. Even so, the cost has only averaged $10 per year, which is great. I just ordered it again.

AWESOME! Best device to hold our spa cover
This spa cover roller arms works extremely well. We were looking for a spa cover lift that wouldn't block our view of the woods behind our house and were about to give up hope until we found this. My husband has a bad back so getting the cover off was always a challenge for him, especially when his back is hurting. With this one, he just flips back the first half outside the spa, then climbs in and pushes it off the end and onto the roller arms. That simple. When he is done he just pulls it back over, everything lines up easy, done. See the pics. We built our spa into the deck and attached the arms to the back skirting of the deck so we didn't have any issues with worry about screwing the arms into our spa cabinet. My husband actually told me I did a great job in finding the roller arms, I almost fell over. LoL. Installation took like 2 minutes and when we have to mow the grass we just put the arms down. This was a great find at a really great price, and it seems pretty durable and since its hard plastic it won't rust.

I expect years of easy cover removal
Works perfectly. Appears flimsy when used but with careful use, I expect years of easy cover removal.

hot tub lifter
The product was exactly what was shown, and the delivery was within 24 hours thanks to Prime. The installation instructions were very simple and easy to assemble. I would recommend placing a small piece of a wooden fence against the hot tub due to the fact that it is made with plastic. This just adds to the hot tub liter sturdiness. I would also recommend using a level as screwing the screws is a tight fit. A very easy way to remove the cover from within the hot tub or out of the hot tub.

Not meant for full sized hot tubs!
We have an 8' square hot tub with a good quality cover on it. The arms are too short for the cover and they are very wobbly when the cover is on them. I've had to sturdy up the arms with some wood so they would support the cover properly.

Good for small spaces and keeping the views
I like it because there is room to slide the top off towards my pool deck and it folds down when not in use. It doesn't feel like it will last aong time due to it just being drilled into the hot tub panel. But we are very happy it doesnt obstruct the view of the forest !

2+ years of use review
This product has held up perfectly over 2 years. This in in -30c to +35c weather. Will buy again for the next hot tub!Holds a heavy lid well. Some hot tubs need internal bracing to hold this. Mine did not.
