We purchased the ExpertPower 3000 inverter charger to replace a different, well-known brand that came stock in our Class A RV. The previous unit only produced a square wave, which was damaging our appliances and electronics. In contrast, the pure sine wave output from this model has been outstanding, even with our most sensitive devices. We boondock occasionally and have a 5KW battery bank powering this inverter. While boondocking, we use power save mode, which consumes just 10 watts at idle and performs flawlessly with no issues observed. In parks, we switch to normal mode, where the idle standby consumption is 90 watts. The power transfer remains seamless when connecting to shore power or switching to a generator. During storm-related power outages, the transition was so smooth that we didn’t even notice the power had gone out. We opted for the model with the remote display, which fit perfectly into the same location as the old unit’s display, making installation a breeze. The remote display makes it easy and convenient to keep tabs on the system’s status, including battery levels and operational modes, at a glance. Once, we accidentally ran the batteries down to the 10.5V cutoff, at which point the alarm kicked in as expected. The inverter handled the situation well and protected our system without any issues. The surge functionality has also proven reliable—once, we accidentally ran more appliances than the system should have handled, and it managed the load without a problem. Installation was straightforward; the inverter fit perfectly into the existing basement cabinet and wired in without complications. The charging function works as advertised, efficiently maintaining our battery bank. Configuration was simple, and the build quality has been excellent. It has already endured cross-country trips in extreme summer heat and winter cold without a hitch. Compared to other options with similar specifications, particularly the more expensive “blue” brand, this unit has delivered exceptional value for the price. We initially purchased one of the popular blue models but ended up returning it and opting for the ExpertPower 3000 instead. This choice has more than paid off in performance and reliability.

Tested inverter with 400 Ah battery bank ran up to 3kW with no problems. Charger tested at 58.9 to 59.3 amps. Voltage input reads 0.3 volts low according to DVM and smart shunt. Arrived double boxed and fitted with closed cell foam. Slight blemish on decal. Will only turn on with extension switch. No cover for ac terminals. Cables about 6 feet and 1/0 manual calls for 3 feet 3/0. Comes with precharge resistor. Overall a good product. Didn't test ATS. 2/13/2025 update Worked very well last year, even ran A/C for 2 1/2 hours without stressing the battery bank. Just ordered the 2000 watt version for another camper. May 2025 update: 3000 watt almost a year in service and working great. Connected the 2000 watt and while it ran a 15k btu RV air conditioner, its a bit of a load. It will be great for dry camping and running a microwave or drip coffee maker. Expert Power has a great products for about half the price of others. Oct 1 update: Original 3000 watt has been through 2 high desert summers without problems. Just got a 2nd 3000 watt in and hooked up today, was a reduced price like new and working great for off grid shed power. Have to add 4th 100Ah battery and 2nd 325 watt solar panel. This runs 18 cu ft refrigerator and shop tools. Can't say enough how great these inverters are from ExpertPower.

Took a while to figure out wiring on my TRAILER

Worked ok for about 4 months and died. Won’t hold an output load anymore ruined some electronics as well. Waste of money.

Been absolutely fantastic so far! Only bummed i got the older model 3000w vs the newer model that shows on the amazon. A little cheaper than the Litime i was gonna get! Plug and play was easy, but the push button is kinda annoying especially since you have to build that yourself. Functions well! Runs my coleman 1400Bh camper with ease!! 5000btu ac, 50" tv and everything else! Charges my 200ah battery at 60a with ease. Oh and the 5ms auto switch works like a absolute dream! Have a gaming pc and it doesnt even flicker!

Do your research before purchasing and you will be happy with this inverter! If your looking to max on your inverter purchase and only install one, this is the one to go with (12v system). Running a Soft Ac Start and can power my AC off grid! Placed into a compartment under the bed. Great way to get the best use of my expert power lithium batteries (600ah) and have access to most of not all things in my travel trailer! Off grid worthy! Noise level is a little high, but I need to put fans in to cool it first. On the to do list! Happy customer!

I bought 2 other inverter charges from someone else and they both stopped working in 5 min. this one works great, i have 0 problems with it working, the controller is complete junk, does not stay on, always cycles from welcome screen to info screen that gives you almost no info. Shows % not watts, also does not show % of battery life or even maybe a % left. just current volts. and that screen shuts off quickly.

I have an rv with a 300ah life po4 battery bank and they were hooked up to a 3000w renogy inverter which worked great, but not after the sun would go down my battery's would drain really fast. so I was hoping to find an inverter that would allow the lithium battery's to drain to 2v or something. And I was under the impression that this inverter did that. I was very disappointed to find once the battery's reached 10.5 the alarm would sound and eventually shut itself off. I have a home battery system that drains the battery's to 10 percent that's why I believed an inverter that is compatible with lithium battery's would do the exact same thing.
