GARDEN LITES Zucchini Chocolate Veggie Muffin, 8 Ounce (Pack of 8)

My baby and 3 year old loved the muffins. Toddler is super picky with food. Really the only way I have been able to sneak veggies into his food was this way. Wanted to bake my own muffins, but ordering the Garden Lites muffins was easier and less time consuming. The come shipped in a box with a little dry ice. The product is perishable. It says on the box "product is perishable, Keep Frozen!" First time we ordered this product the dry ice had all been consumed but muffins were still frozen. I just reordered a box of muffins on feb. 11th. They arrived today about an hour ago. Dry ice used up again, but this time all the muffins were soft--not frozen. Had to return. No stores in my city actually sell this product. Whole Foods advertises that it does, but it isn't in the stores. Disappointed b/c seems like a great way to get my kids to eat some veggies in a gluten free, dairy free product that tastes excellent...but if I can't buy at costco or any grocery store and this company doesn't know how to ship a perishable product correctly, guess I'm done as a customer. Also, each muffin does come wrapped in plastic and instructions say to heat muffin in wrapper. I'm not comfortable with any plastics, so I took the muffins out of the wrapper to warm up.

These muffins are delicious but they are supposed to stay frozen and they were shipped with two tiny ice packs so they all thawed.

Delicious when heated 45 seconds in the microwave--definitely tastes like chocolate, not zucchini! Excellent source of vitamin A--50% of the RDA for the day.The dry ice was entirely melted by the time I received the package, and the muffins had thawed. However, I put them in the deep freezer, and they re-froze just fine.

Just founds these at Wal-Mart the other day (don't judge, they were the only place open at 11:30pm).Either way, they are so delicious -- gluten free, relatively low calorie and loaded with nutrients. Win/win/win. I can't believe these are over $7.00 a box on Amazon though, that's pretty crazy -- it was less than half of that at Wal-Mart.But if you're thinking about buying them, do it! I would definitely purchase other products from this company.

This is going to sound ridiculous, but these muffins are almost impossibly delicious. My children eat them. I eat them. They have vegetables as the first ingredient, but they are stupidly delicious. Honestly.

These are amazing! But I bought mine at Costco for way cheaper!

Wow! These muffins are AMAZING! They really give you that satisfaction without feeling the heavy feeling of eating a regular muffin. Great size for enough satisfaction.

Delicious, filling and gluten-free. It's a trifecta, the additional nutrients of vegetables is icing on the cake.
