What an amazing book!! Reading this book was one of the graces of my life. I consider Padre Pio to be my spiritual father and reading the testimonies and the unimaginable miracles not only developed my faith in him, it has strengthened my spiritual experience in knowing and loving Christ through one's sufferings. Padre Pio loved Christ through his sufferings. He was a man of great virtues. He was modest, pure, gentle, humble, submissive to his superiors, charitable. He imitated Christ in every way and through his stigmata too. This book is not just for the Catholics, but for every skeptical non-Catholic Christian. 2 takeaways for me from this book would be to practice self-denial and penance

Just when you would think there couldn't be one more true story to be told about this wonderful saint, Pray, Hope, and Don't Worry: True Stories of Padre Pio Book II is available. A true masterpiece. What I have received from reading these two excellent books, is a closer relationship to a saint who STILL performs miracles on a daily basis. Padre Pio and I have a strong, loving bond and I have seen numerous miracles. When I pray with others, asking for his loving assistance, there is a transformation of body, mind and soul. He is a modern day miracle worker. I hope the next book is a collection of the many miracles that are happening this very day.God Bless All of You and I wish you well.Patti Angel Karlton

A fantastic book on a favorite saint. Have purchased before.

I had read a much of Padre Pio already. He truly was a saint living in my lifetime. I am disappointed that whilst he was alive, I never visited him in San Giovanni Rotondo.On the other hand, I feel exceptionally fortunate in that I have met a recipient of Padre Pio's prayers, & miracles here in Los Angeles. His story, is recalled wonderfully in this book by Diane Allen. His experience of the miracles he received strengthened my faith in God too. He attends Mass at our local Capuchin parish in greater LA.I found this book to be an enjoyable and easy read, although in excess of 440 pages. I read this in about a week. All in all a fascinating collection of very readable stories that tell a great deal of St Pio's life. It has been a positive experience for me to read this book, and I am very happy, that I found it!

This book was sold as used. It looks like a brand new book. Does not show signs of being opened or read. I have not had time to read but I am sure I will be pleased with it.

This is a great book. This was the first book that I wished it would not end.Not only interesting but also these stories will deepen your faith and bring you closer to God.These stories kept me awake until the wee hours in joy and awe!These stories gave me the strength and spiritual energy for the next day.My son in his early thirties read this book and told me that his faith became unshakable.He started recommending the book to others as I have done since I read this book.The book 2 is also a great read.I highly recommend these awesome books.

I am noone to write a review on the events of the life of a great saint.But this book, it has brought to me great clarity. I am a hindu, and i follow another saint who was a hindu. Yet padre pio's ways are so similar. Saints everywhere are the same. And saints like these are the rarest of the rare. To understand them is impossible, their designs and purposes are beyond human understanding. But what this book will do is to teach you how to live life, what is demanded of you by God, what is expected of you in these changing times , where morality is becoming the employee of the law created by people. What laws and rules does God want us to follow and how strictly must we follow them? You will get your answers here. Read this book without second thoughts. Its a rare blessing for us humans to come across such a book.

I bought this book because I love Padre Pio’s story so inspiring to read and I recommend this to anyone who is interested in the life of Padre Pio.

A warm trribute to a man of incredible endurance, compassion, and love of his fellow man. He endured a lot of agony and fought constantly against the invisible evils that surround us. The book is a series of testamonials of conversions, healings, blessings, ad brother love. An easy read, spiritually uplifting, a most intimate look at the daily life of a saint and his incredible accomplishments as per the hospital at St Giovanni Retpondo .. placed in the middle of nowhere and which works efficiently. I am humbled by this simple man of enormous faith.
