NECA Evil Dead 2 Action Figure Farewell To Arms Ash

The main problem with figures of this sort is that a good likeness is fairly hard to capture and convey on small scale, it requires a certain degree of exaggeration.This figure does it best to date, a young Bruce Campbell's likeness is not an easy on to sculpt it seems. Here we have Bruce with a somewhat wide-eyed terrified expression that he definitely had in the film more than a few times.Excellent detail on the head and the figure as well as accessories, very well captured likeness and expression.I am sure other reviews will cover the articulation and main detail, so I'll just point out minor things that somebody may want to know about.It did need a bit of touchup - I removed some of the "eyeliner", painted the duct-tape around the stump actual silver metallic, some cleanup around the hairline, thinned the trigger-guard and drilled holes into the barrels of the shotgun.The paint on the forestock is metallic rather than wood grain for some reason, but that's also easily fixed. After these negligible tweaks the figure becomes about as screen-accurate as you can get on that scale, given the fact that there was constant variation within the film as far as makeup and dirt were concerned. I passed on the previous medieval Ash and S-Mart Ash due to what I felt was poor likeness, but this figure is a different story altogether. If you are a fan of the series you should pick one up while they are still available.

This is one of the coolest evil dead toys i think i have ever seen! It has bendable hips, legs, thies*, arms shoulders, neck. and comes with anything you need to reinact a evil dead scene! It is super cool and highly detailed. the only thing that i saw a minor problem in, was that the right arm that held the gun would brake off the joint when i would try to position the gun on the arm. this was an easy solve for me, because i had bought both of the new NECA Evil dead toys and i just took the hand off the other deadite ash and put it on this one, since they both have the same sculpt! All in all, this is a great toy, and a MUST HAVE for ANY evil dead fan!!

I was very excited to get this figure and it arrived within a few days of ordering it. I took it out of the package and inspected it. Everything worked fine and I've had no problems with it. I love the detail in this figure and the fact that it actually looks like Evil Dead 2 era Bruce Campbell. I put it right on the shelf next to my VHS and DVD of the film and it looks great as a mini shrine to an awesome movie. I will certainly invest in the other NECA Evil Dead 2 figures in the future. Great for any Evil Dead or Bruce Campbell fan.

You can never have enough Ash figures. Of course NECA knows this and that's why they keep making them. Soon they have Eyes Closed Ash, Taking A Leak Ash and Bruce Campbell Playing Ash Ash. Doesn't matter, we'll still buy them and love them.

Got this as a Christmas gift for my father and it was very well received. Wish I could keep it. Great detail, sure it looks great in any collection. Can't comment on the function of this figure because it will not be opened.

Son loves collecting these toys and putting them on display. These NECA collectibles can get expensive, but the quality and detail covers that. Thanks for fast shipping!
