Roof Rack Cross Bar Rail for Ford Explorer 2011-2015（Raised Side Rails ）

I had no trouble installing these myself quickly. As others said, make sure you have Allen wrenches handy. Also, I don't disagree about the plastic bolt, but it's really just a fastener. I over-tightened the first one and broke it, but the rest have been fine for almost a year. I did pop off the cover when brushing snow off, so I reached out to them after not being able to find a replacement to buy some, and they replaced them for me. Great service! Just be gentle with the fastener and you should be fine.

I tried all three rubber spacers on the rails. This absolutely did not fit a ford explorer. I specifically clicked on the link for the explorer. The clamp widens out on the outside instead of tightening because the clamp is not large enough to make it around the roof rack bars. On top of that, the screws cross thread easily. Does not feel sturdy at all. I was not willing to risk my ski equipment with this rack.

The wrench furnished with the kit is poor quality and is sloppy fitting to the screws. This made the install almost too much. I used some tools borrowed to make it happen. The kit is high quality and fits well, so furnish a better tool.

Locking screws are cheap plastic instead of metal. One broke and I barely tightened it.

The roof rack fit my 2013 Ford Explorer fine. The directions were a little difficult to follow. There were a couple things that were not correct on the product I received. 1 - No arrow on cross pieces as shown on directions, but the look the same either direction and are not needed. 2- There were 8 extra black spacers with not explanation (see photo 1). They are the spacers used on the lock-down portion of the rack. I ended up with the middle size for the best fit, probably made for multiple vehicles so use the one that gives you the best fit. 3- The cross pieces need to be bolted on the the lock-down portions. Do so where the cross piece can still move for adjustment. 4- Open both lock downs and put over the factory mount to get the correct spacing. Then tighten one side. Go to other side, check fit again and tighten that side. Do this BEFORE locking the Lock-downs onto the factory bar. This was the easiest to get the correct spacing before mounting. 5- The spacing given in the directions seemed to work well and helps guarantee an even mount and spacing. 6- As others have stated, the given "wrench" is not great, but it was good enough to mount the unit. I had no issues with cross threaded bolts. Overall, the look is pretty good and is certainly a good option for a DIY installation. It would have been 5 stars but directions were not complete enough and final look isn't worth a 5 star but still looks good.

Not easy to install on a 2013 Explorer. I basically had to re-engineer the entire product and it still scratched the paint on the roof. Its basically entirely plastic. Do not put 150 lbs on it. It will not hold 50 lbs at expressway speeds, let alone 150 lbs. Dont purchase this product.

Exactly what I expected, fits perfectly and is very strong. Good purchase!

Delivered before schedule date. Easy Mounting after figuring out how the adjusted. Look great. It would be advisable to include a very basic instructions on how they adjust. Me being a milright ,not hard to figure out but can see somebody working behind a desk may be a bit confused.

The rack fits perfectly but the plastic retainers for covers are filmsy and easily breaks. I broke two of them. The racks looks cheap overall. The assembly requires two allen keys, but it doesn't come with any. It requires T30 key for small screws.

I wish there was a way to get the wrench, everything else looks like decent quality but I have to figure a way to McGyver it on without the special tool(wrench)
