HQR X5 LCD FHD 1080p 140 Wide Angle Dashboard Camera Recorder Car Dash with Night Vision, G-Sensor, Motion Detection

I bought this camera as gift for my husband. He is happy :)The performance of the camera is awesome. The HD video is crisp and clear and the audio is very good as well. The menu and settings are very easy to navigate. I don't do a lot of night driving but did have an opportunity to get some footage after having dinner at outside one night. The night footage is pretty clear and lighted roadways and even not bad on the dark highway. Some people have complained about their night footage in other reviews, but HQR does not advertise this camera as having any sort of "night vision" capability. I believe they make other models with actual infrared illumination. That being said, in my opinion the night time footage is still pretty good.It has a motion sensor as well, but I have not used this feature to dateAll in all, it's a great dashboard camera for the money. I'm glad I bought it, and I'd buy it again.

Works great, used it for a full week+ on a club drive from VA to Bar Harbor. It starts when you start the car and stops when you stop (there are other options). Note the files if in HD can fill a small SD card fast, I switched to the 640 mode and still have great videos. I did have a problem that I worked around with some usb cables and an adapter I had, The cable with the unit had a car lighter plug on one end and the usb on the other, the length was super to route the wire out of the way, However for some reason the male plug would plug into the camera but not provide power, The adapter (micro to mini usb) worked great. I figure I just got a bad one. (the instructions actually mentioned using the power cable to get data onto a computer, I have never had a computer with a lighted adapter). Still worth the very reasonable price. *Can barely see it behind mirror. * don't plan on using it on the battery, might last 2 minutes if fully charged (I use a Olympus for pictures and on the ground videos).

This wasnt the best purchase i have ever made. Its recently stopped working. I assume its due to the camera over heating while in the truck parked with the sun out. If you want to take it with you when you park your car in the sun, is uppose thats an option...but dont expect to use it unplugged for more than 1 to 3 minutes, the battery is garbage. All in all when its plugged in does what it says it records. Hit a bump and it will save off that clip because it thinks you were in am accident. As such the memory fills up quickly and warnings display that its full, no idea if its still recording or not. I just format each time that happens. Anyway check out the pic, now all i get when i plug it in is this amber light...nothing else

Product worked for a few weeks. There were some white lines across the top of the scree that would not go away, but they did not obstruct view. Then, after it sat in my vehicle for a week when i was on vacation, the camera started acting up. I would have it charging when the vehicle was on, and after the camera was charged it would restart like its supposed to. However, the camera would not actually turn back on...the screen would come up with white lines all across it and nothing i did would make this go away. The camera would not record during this time too. I would have to unplug the camera and wait for it to die before it would work properly again. This happened almost every time it would reach full charge. Attempted multiple to contact manufacturer about this, but never got a response. Now this camera sits in my closet because i cannot use it. DO NOT BUY.

bought this for my wife's car to give her piece of mind while out and about. the camera housing is made out of such cheap plastic that sitting in the window caused the housing to melt! now The camera will not stay on the windshield mount and falls leaving it dangling by just the power wire.the camera itself surprisingly enough for the price was very good and has good quality video. But the cheap plastic the put it in is very disappointing.i would say if you have another way to mount without hanging it this is a great deal. unfortunately this is a unusable item for me.

After two weeks I love it. I was involved in an accident I was not at fault. Turning in video eliminated who's at fault. The memory card holds a ton of time and it loops. Very happy with purchase.

The dash cam was easy to attach, the instructions very clear.It covers the area ahead of you with great accuracy. The car dvr built in 1.5 inches TFT LCD display, it is easy to see an instant feedback.Also you can see everything on your computer, which is really easy to see everything. Absolutely worth the money.

This works really good. It is interesting to look at your trip and see the trip as well as how other drivers behave on the road. It is amazing what we do not not see when we drive on the road.You all of a sudden become a better driver since you are recording your driving habits as well. ☺️
