Incorrect part taken from another kit
The most important part of this kit, the circular lights for the Jupiter 2 core, is NOT the correct part. It does not look like other Moebius core parts I have seen, and it has the lable "UFO" on it, making me believe it came from a kit for a different model, NOT the Jupiter 2. For one thing, it has 24 lights, where the fusion core bracket that comes with the Moebius model has 32 openings. Thus the lights do not line up with the openings. If you don't have the correct part, just say so, so that we can buy the correct part from someone else.

Danger, Danger Will Robinson! You will waste much time on this!!
I cannot wait to put this together. I got the model, the lighting kit, the decals, the paints....it's going to take me back to being a kid when I first watched Lost in Space. I loved the show as a child- especially the ship and the robot! I will post my pictures of it in the future. When that will be I don't know, but hopefully it will be soon!

Way too costly, it should be listed on eBay
This is by far the highest price I've ever seen for this lighting kit I have no idea why they're asking for so much money. Hope no one falls for this ripoff. Avoid this nonsense.

#2097 Moebius Models Lost in Space Jupiter 2 led lighting effects kit
Yes, this kit is a bit costly its true even pricey too! But, in my opinion well worth the cost. This Jupiter 2 lighting kit comes with fusion core lighting unit, upper bubble led lighting kit part, interior lighting & effects, landing gear lighting effects, white leds, all the wiring attached and soldered to the circuit boards just pug in wire clips to there respective places on main circuit board & well Ah! It also has 3 led blue bright lights for freezing /statis tubes walls lighting effects. Main foward control console deck led lighting effects for left screen a green led for effect. A yellow led for middle pilot console effect & right navigation screen a second green led for the lit up radar screen effect. The only thing that you must provide is the Moebius models Jupiter 2 space ship kit. Sold seperately of course. You do have to cut or drill out all of the parts of the jupiter 2 Moebius models space ship kit including drill holes in the main flooring piece. # for the flight deck console for the 3 consoles. 6 holes for the freeze tubes blue led's to light that up. And 6 in the upper ceiling soffit piece for the 6 super bright led lights to light up your Jupiter's interior nicely. Also, you will need to drill 3 holes in the lower level hull piece in the three areas for the landing leg areas for the toggle switch, push button switch, & the wall adapter plug so that your lit up interior can be plugged in to a wall socket electrical out lit. Adapter is included with price of the lighting effects kit.

Overpriced
For the price they want, it should come with the model and completely assembled.

Great plug and play lighting set for people who don't know how to wire stuff up
This is a good, solid, easy to use set intended for the Moebius 18" Jupiter 2 kit. Despite what one of the negative comments says, the set is pretty much fully assembled and ready to go. All of the LED lights and wires for the kit's various assemblies are bundled together, pre wired, and labeled so you know what is what. All you need to do is to plug a couple things together, and to actually install the lights in your model AS YOU BUILD IT. You can't build the model and then add the lights in as an afterthought. The set does include good instructions and you will need to do some back and forth cross referencing with the Jupiter 2 kit instructions.Pre finished lighting sets are not cheap as they are made by hand and in small numbers. You could try to make one yourself, but buying each individual item one at a time can be tricky if you don't know what to get and how to rig it up. I've seen a similar kit to this that is 100% unassembled (and not totally inclusive, you need to buy a power plug, jacks, etc.) and it was still not inexpensive.I would give this set 5 stars if it had a few blinking or flashing lights for the interior itself. You do get a neat, multi speed fusion core assembly and light array for the top dome, but blinking computer consoles would have been really neat. To be fair, you can't really see a lot of that through the ship's windows anyway. If you really did want that, you could add in the appropriate blinking LEDs and any necessary circuitry.

This is a very well constructed lighting kit - everything's wired and ready to go and it looks amazing in the model when properl
Giving this five starts partly to counter the person who irresponsibly gave this one star. This is a very well constructed lighting kit - everything's wired and ready to go and it looks amazing in the model when properly assembled. Yes, it's expensive, but you can't get pre-assembled lighting kits like this without investing some money in the purchase. They're not just for casual builders but for modelmaking enthusiasts who really want to capture the look of the studio model.
