Informative and Interactive
Great ideas in this book, and plenty of things that you would want to try. None of them require great expense or expertise and everything is explained really clearly and accessibly. Highly recommended.

Enjoyable and educating
I really loved this book, it was so beautifully illustrated, it made me want to get my gardening gloves on every time I read it.It explains each section easily and aims to teach the reader in all things gardening including foraging and ecology, but I also really liked the pancake section. As someone who struggles with some types of instructions I found this book really easy to follow and I really liked it, I'll probably buy it when it is published, I loved it that much. With thanks to Netgalley, publishers, and Alys Folwer, (I enjoyed this immensely) who provided me with this free copy in return I have provided my honest review. Thank you.

Excellent gardening book for adults and children alike
I bought this book after borrowing from the library. It's written for older children but aimed towards everyone in the family as the gardening activities you can do with your 3 year old too. Each activity has step by step instructions on each stage of growing a plant and packed with lots of useful information. I actually thought this was far better than some adult gardening books for newbies and really look forward to doing the activities with my daughter. I would recommend to families and those adults, who like me, haven't the faintest idea on how to grow plants and keep them alive!

Just what we needed
My mother always had a garden and she made space in it for us to have a patch but somehow I’ve reached the adult with toddler stage and I’ve no idea how to grow things. This book has the traditional sunflower, cress and seed on the side of a bottle experiments but also pointers for growing real, edible food. And a bit of the science behind for the inevitable ‘why’.
