A Unique Perspective on a Great Product.
This product has been exactly what I needed. I have a bit of a unique use case and this gets the job done for me. I have a portable standing desk from container store) that uses hydraulics to go from a sitting desk height to a standing desk height. I'm trying to transition to mostly standing while I work. The problem was that when using a laptop in the standing position I was still having to look down all day at my screen which was not comfortable for my neck. I wasn't convinced that the standard height VIVO mount would be tall enough so I ordered the VIVO Laptop & LCD Monitor Stand up Desk Mount Extra Tall Adjustable Stand fits 1 Screen up to 27" (STAND-V012C). To be honest the pole is a bit too long if you're using it the way I am, but it's designed to allow you to stand when it's mounted to a sitting height desk which it would be perfect for. That being said you can adjust the height of your monitor & laptop to whatever height you want to get the perfect viewing angle. I suppose you could always just cut the top of the pole off to the desired height as well if you're using it in the same way that I am. I'm currently using it with a laptop as my only screen and I've mounted that at eye level. I'm using a wireless keyboard and mouse on the desktop surface so that the ergonomics are ideal. I haven't installed the second arm for the monitor yet, because I haven't decided which monitor I want. My setup requires something really lightweight, and for now the setup I'm using with the laptop only is working great. Also keep in mind that all of the parts for this thing a fairly modular. I mounted my laptop plate to the arm that is designated for the monitor, because I didn't need the extra length of the laptop arm for my setup. You can also shorten (remove a link) from the laptop arm if you desire so that you have two arms that are the same length. So you have some flexibility with your installation. You can customize it quite a bit to fit your needs. One thing I forgot to mention is that even in my setup which is a bit unique in the sense that I'm mounting it to a portable and lightweight structure this thing is still extremely solid. It's securely attached and doesn't give a bit. All in all this is a great product that allows some flexibility to meet whatever your specific needs are and I highly recommend it. Lastly I wanted to mention that this review is not a sponsored post. I paid full price for this thing and I highly recommend it.

This VIVO stand is solid, sturdy and well built
This VIVO stand is exactly what I wanted for the new Dell 27 inch computer monitor that I purchased. I originally got the standard size VIVO stand with a 17 inch pole, but returned it and decided to buy this one with the extra tall stand instead, to provide me with more flexibility. The stand is extremely well-built and sturdy. It comes with some very well thought-our features, like 3 cable organizing clips for the center pole, and also organizing cable clips for each arm (2 clips per arm, so 4 total). The pole comes in 3 sections (13 inches each section) that screw together and again is very well constructed. I didn't need the full length which was 39 inches, so only used 2 sections that gave me a 26 inch stand, which was a perfect height. The computer tray is very solid, and is vented which is great, since my laptop runs hot. It comes with all the tools and hardware for straight-forward assembly, and even has slots in the cable management clips to store the allen wrenches when you are done with the assembly (seriously, whoever thought of this detail should get a prize). Now my one and only critique is that if you are mounting this to your desk with the C-Clamp, instead of the grommet mount, the stand does wobble a bit and mine leaned to one side because of the weight of my monitor. But I was able to fix this completely by purchasing a monitor mount reinforcement plate from Amazon for $19 (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XZ6CJFG?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details), which gave the C-Clamp an extremely rigid surface to clamp to. With the reinforcing plate, the mount is now SUPER solid and there is no wobble or lean whatsoever. Even with this one critique, I love this stand so much and it is so well-built, that I think it still without a doubt deserves 5 stars. Overall, I love my new set-up and could not be happier with this purchase!!

Good quality for the price. Solid
Quality made. Good price. Just wish the tiny adjustment tension screws were a little bigger, better quality. Had one that wouldn't tighten, then it stripped. Tiny flat headed Phillips screw would have been better. Cant repair this tiny screw unless I bore it out. So tiny, it's hard to work with. Please improve these screws. Send me suggestions to fix too if this is a common occurrence. Help is appreciated.

Perfect!
This was perfect for what I needed. It was super easy to put together. I think it took me like 20 minutes. Would definitely recommend for small set up like mine.

More heavy-duty than the shorter version, holds my big dumb Cinema Display firmly.
I ordered the regular mount from the same company first, not thinking I'd need a taller one. I liked it but sent it back in exchange for this taller version, which works great for me.I want to mention that the shorter/standard version did not hold my Apple Monitor as well! The thing is stupid heavy so I don't even blame the old mount, but it bears mentioning that this mount DOES hold the Cinema Display in place without it tipping forward from the weight.BUT!! If you're going to use it for something like the Cinema Display you DO need to get an additional part, which you can also find here for $10 and bolts right to the VESA plate. AGAIN this is not a knock on the mount itself, this is an Apple problem, who made their big beautiful monitor with ZERO mount points and a big metal foot that you cannot remove. (The display is gorge but grrrr I am so over Apple being precious about their design — it still has to be usable dammit!)The upright pole has 3 pieces, so you can remove the middle one if you don't need the full height (which is what I did). All the tools you need are included, lots of really nice touches like including spots to store the allen wrenches in the cable management clips, and everything feels very sturdy. Very pleased.
